I am back with my 4th CFL pick of the season, as we enter Week 6. Our last play on the Ti-Cats +3.5 was our third winner, which brings us to a perfect 3-0 on the season. I don’t make many CFL plays, as I wait until I find some good value, and it has paid off so far with a perfect season going. I’ve found some more value today and wanted to make sure I got a post up here at TheSportsGeek.com
Today’s write up will be a little shorter than normal as the game begins in less than two hours. Hope you don’t mind. Pick, betting odds, and write up below…
Edmonton Eskimos -1
vs Winnipeg Blue Bombers +1

Tonight’s CFL Pick:
Take the Eskimos as road favorites here. Whether you play them on the moneyline or on the spread shouldn’t come into play with the 1 point spread (I guess you never know with CFL rules). Both teams enter tonight’s game as division leaders, with Edmonton a top of the West with their perfect 5-0 record, and the Blue Bombers surprisingly 4-1 on the season putting them above the 4-2 Alouettes. Ricky Ray has been one of the best (if not the best) QB thus far in the 2011 CFL season, throwing for 1492 yards with a 67.1% completion rate (not to mention his 10 touchdowns to just 1 interception on the year). Buck Pierce has looked sharp, throwing for over 1000 yards and a 62% completion rate, but has thrown 4 interceptions with 6 touchdowns. QB edge definitely going to Ricky Ray in this game. Both defenses have looked solid, allowing less than 20 points per game on average. Playing on the road hasn’t seemed to affect the Eskimos, as they are 2-0 away from home while scoring an average of 33 points in those two road contests. The Blue Bombers dropped one of their three home games to Calgary (3-2), with their two home wins coming against Toronto (1-5) and BC (0-5). Despite the early success for the Blue Bombers, I think the Edmonton Eskimos are the more complete team, and it will show here tonight. Lay the 1 point with the Eskimos as they move to 6-0 on the season and distance themselves in the West.
