Chiefs Browns Spread, Line and Predictions Week 2

This Sunday features a match-up between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cleveland Browns. This game is being played at the Cleveland Browns Stadium at 1:00 PM. This game will be a game that will tells us a lot about both teams. The Chiefs are coming off a surprising win against the Chargers and want to go 2-0 and make a run for the AFC West title. The Browns are trying to show that they are not bottom five team and a win on Sunday would be a good start. The Chiefs vs Browns Predictions, Line and Betting Odds below!

The Chiefs beat the Chargers last week, which was a great win that could be credited to their special teams and their defense. The whole in their win was the performance of QB Matt Cassel. He completes less than 50% of his passes and threw for a measly 68 yards. That is something that the Chiefs cannot have if they want to win consistently. Their running game was great with Jamaal Charles running for an average of 8.4 yards per carry and against this Browns defense, I expect him to have another great game. If the Chiefs can involve Chris Chambers and Dwayne Bowe more into the offense then they can win this game. It all lies with Matt Cassel. If their is a game he can get it into gear, than this is the game to do it.

The Browns are coming off a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Browns kept it close but fell short in the end. Jake Delhomme made his first start for the Browns and was mediocre. Their running game was solid with Jerome Harrison and Peyton Hillis splitting the carries. The Browns do not look like they are going to improve over last season and their performance last Sunday looked like a typical Browns game. Coming into this game, Jake Delhomme is listed as doubtful to start this game which means that Seneca Wallace may start against the Chiefs. This couldn’t be worse news for the Browns. The Browns only chance in this game lies with the run game. Keep the Browns defense on the field and wear them out. Otherwise, the Chiefs will capitalize on the presence of a back-up QB.

Chiefs vs Browns Predictions for Betting Week 2 Game:

Spread Prediction (TOP PLAY) – I am very surprised that the Chiefs are not favored in this game. I think that they can definitely handle the Browns even though they are on the road. The Chiefs are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games. Cleveland lost to Tampa Bay last week and it doesn’t get much worse than that. The Browns are not looking good this season and I am taking the Chiefs to cover. TOP PLAY PREDICTION – CHIEFS +2.5

Game Total Prediction – The Browns will have a tougher time putting up points this week than they did last week. Both of these teams games ended in the under last week and the under is 11-1 in the Chiefs last 12 games in Week 2. This may be due to opening day letdown or some other factor but I will take the under in this game as both teams are dependent on the run, which eats up clock. PREDICTION – UNDER 39
