Jets Patriots Spread Betting Line and MNF Predictions

Playoff Spread Below..

The Patriots and Jets will meet for the 103rd time since the series between the AFC East rivals began in 1960. The Jets took the lead in the series 51-50-1 following a 28-14 win in Week 2 of the 2010 season at the New Meadowlands Stadium. Hate is a light way of putting how these teams truly feel about one another. The Jets are poised to dethrone the perennial AFC East champions, while the Patriots want nothing more then to shut-up the “Hard-Knocks”, trash talking New York Jets. The (9-2) New England Patriots will be looking to exert some frustration and anger on the (9-2) New York Jets on Monday night from their earlier season loss, kickoff slated for 8:30 PM EST. The teams split the season series in each of the last two seasons. The Jets beat the Patriots 16-9 at the Meadowlands last season and the Patriots beat the Jets, 31-14, at Gillette Stadium in the rematch.

Our FREE Picks are hitting at an INSANE rate of 45-16 over the past three NFL weeks (not to mention 12-3 this week in the NFL). I HIGHLY recommend that you enter your first name and email in the form on the left side of the site to receive these picks for free, enjoy!

The New York Jets travels to New England with a record of 9-2 on the season. The team puts up 24 points and 360 yards per game. The teams sits tied with New England in the AFC East. With a win over New England on Sunday the Jets would hold the tiebreaker so in essence would be two games ahead of the Patriots with four games remaining. The Jets are on the road for the sixth time this season where they are a perfect 5-0. They have only 1 win on the road against a winning team in a 31-23 win at Miami way back in week three as a +2 point road underdog. The Jets come into this game with the 11th ranked offense in the league led by a ground game that is averaging 148.1 yards per game behind a resurgent LaDainian Tomlinson and Shonn Greene in the backfield. The two have combined for 1,316 yards rushing so far this season. The Jets have two players with at least 500 rush yards each this season (Tomlinson-741, Greene-575) — one of just two teams in the league to boast such a tandem of running backs (Kansas City is the other). The Jets beat the Bengals, 26-10, in Week 12 and are now riding a four-game winning streak — their second 4+ game win streak of the season (five-game win streak Week 2-6). The last time New York posted two 4+ game winning streaks in the same season was 1998 when Bill Parcells was head coach. While many media members and fans are calling the Patriots legitimate Super Bowl contenders, the Jets have some skeptics despite their record. The concern comes from the fact that they had to squeak by lesser teams in overtime in consecutive weeks in Detroit and Cleveland, and then needed a touchdown with 10 seconds left Sunday to beat Houston. Their game last Thursday night against the Bengals appeared headed for the same type of frenzied finish, but Brad Smith sparked New York in the second half with a 53-yard touchdown run and an 89-yard, one-shoed kickoff return for a score. Santonio Holmes had five catches for 44 yards and a touchdown against the Bengals on Thanksgiving — his career-best third straight game with at least one TD reception (4 TDs total during streak). Holmes has just three catches for 41 yards (1 TD) in two career games versus the Patriots.

The Patriots will attempt to avenge a 28-14 loss in the first meeting of the season between the teams at the New Meadowlands Stadium on Sept. 19. The Patriots head into the month of December this week with the NFL’s best record in December since the start of the 2002 season with a 29-5 record. Since Gillette Stadium opened in 2002, the Patriots are 16-1 in home games in December. Their only loss was a Dec. 22, 2002 game against the New York Jets. QB Tom Brady owns a 9-4 record when playing on Monday Night Football. His best statistical performance on Monday Night Football was the 2009 season opener when he went 39-of-53 for 378 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Patriots to a 25-24 win over Buffalo. He earned AFC Offensive Player of the week for his performance. He has thrown three or more touchdown in a Monday Night game six times, including a four-touchdown performance in a 31-7 win at Minnesota. The Patriots are coming off a convincing 45-24 victory at Detroit, and have won 25 straight at home with Tom Brady as the starting quarterback. Tom Brady threw for 341 yards and four touchdowns against the Lions last week in posting a perfect 158.3 rating for the second time in his career (also at Miami on October 21, 2007). Brady has 58 career regular-season games in which he’s recorded a 100+ rating and the Patriots are 55-3 in those contests. The Patriots have a much better balance on offense this year, averaging 236.7 yards passing per game which is ranked 12th in the league and 112.5 yards per game on the ground, which is ranked 16th. The one thing New England knows how to do best is put points on the board as it currently leads the league in scoring; averaging 30.4 points per game.

Jets vs Patriots MNF Predictions for Week 13:

Spread Prediction (TOP PLAY) – The Patriots hate the Jets, and also vice versa. QB Tom Brady took it personally and emotionally when the Jets dethroned him and his team in New York earlier this season and now he will be seeking to exact some revenge. The Pats have been extremely impressive as of late and it looks as though they are poised for another long postseason run. The Patriots own an overall record of 64-13 (.831) at Gillette Stadium. Since their state-of-the-art facility opened at the beginning of the 2002 season, the Patriots own the NFL’s best record at home. On Turkey day QB Tom Brady had a perfect quarterback rating and the Lions defense had no solution for him and the rest of the talented offensive unit. New England is 8-1 SU in its last 9 games and 5-0 SU in its last 5 games at home. The Jets are on a four game winning streak but they haven’t played a quality opponent since the Packers, a game in which they were shut out 9-0. The barely escaped the likes of the Lions, Texans, and Browns, and this team is extremely vulnerable offensively. The Jets are 4-12 SU in their last 16 games when playing New England and are 2-6 SU in their last 8 games when playing on the road against New England. Bill Belichick will not lose two games to the Jets this year, he just wont let it happen! I expect the Pats to come out swinging and it should be a very concerted and passionate effort by the men from Massachusetts. We will consider the Pats earning a season split with the Jets with a win and a cover on Monday night football.

Top Play Prediction = Patriots -3.5

Game Total Prediction – Last week the Patriots looked as if they were in for a defensive dogfight with the lowly Lions and at the half they had only managed to muster up 10 points. The second half was a different story. Tom Brady led an aerial assault over the Lions and they stung the scoreboard for another 35. This Pats team is lethal and they can score at will when the offense is clicking. Tom Brady is having another MVP caliber year and it looks as though Wes Welker and Deion Branch might be the best receiving tandem in the league. The total has gone OVER in 5 of New England’s last 6 games at home and even more intriguing is the fact that the total has gone OVER in 5 of New England’s last 5 games. The Jets on the other hand are also a very capable and flashy offensively. RB LaDainian Tomlinson is having a resurgent year and the likes of Santonio Holmes and Braylon Edwards only go to round out a potent aerial attack. QB Mark Sanchez has not had a sophomore slump this year and he leads an offense that has a strike quick mentality. The total has gone OVER in 8 of the NY Jets last 10 games and even more striking is the fact that the total has gone OVER in 5 of the NY Jets last 5 games on the road. I believe the Pats will look to run up the scoreboard and exert some will on the Jets as they will look to avenge their earlier season loss. Take a healthy look at the OVER in Monday nights primetime affair. Cheers!

Prediction = OVER 44.5 Total Points
