Texas opened their campaign with a dreadful 38-3 loss to Notre Dame in South Bend, and followed it up with a 42-28 win at home over Rice in week two to notch their first win of the season. Last week they took a step backward with a 45-44 shootout loss to Cal at home last week. The Longhorns are averaging 463.5 yards and seven explosive plays since giving assistant coach Jay Norvell the play-calling duties and Jerrod Heard the starting QB job after a terrible performance in the opener against Notre Dame that saw them accumulate only 163 yards on offense.
