Washington vs. USC Pick – CFB October 8th

Week six of the 2015 college football season kicks off with an exciting PAC-12 matchup on Thursday night (9:00 pm ET) featuring the Washington Huskies (2-2) at the 17th ranked Trojans of the University of Southern California (3-1). USC vs. Washington Pick:

Washington is 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games following a bye week, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Trojans are 15-7 ATS in their last 22 games following a bye week, 7-19 ATS in their last 26 games following a straight up win and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS win. The under is 4-0 ATS in Washington’s last 4 road games, 4-0 ATS in their last 4 PAC-12 games and 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The over is 4-1 in the Trojans last 5 home games and 6-2 in their last 8 games following an ATS win; and the under is 5-1 in their last 6 PAC-12 games. In head-to-head play, the under is 5-1-1 in the last 7 meetings between the two teams and 3-1-1 in their last 5 meetings at the Coliseum in Los Angeles. The Huskies are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 meetings, but only 2-5 ATS in the last 7 meetings at USC.

The Trojans have been on fire offensively this season, but Washington has a strong defense that has posted respectable numbers despite playing powerhouse offenses in Boise St. and Cal with QB Jared Goff, already this season. The Huskies have struggled offensively, but they have been able to win against weaker teams and compete against stronger teams because of their defense. They have not played USC since 2012, so their trends head-to-head against USC do not carry much weight. Their play against two fast-paced offenses does mean something, and this being a Thursday night game 17 points is too much for the Trojans to be giving here. Expect an excellent effort from the Huskies, and take them plus the points in this game.
