- The Toronto Raptors dealt the Milwaukee Bucks their fifth straight loss on Thursday night, 110-96.
- A Las Vegas bettor paced a $110,000 bet on Toronto at +7.5 points.
- At the usual -110 odds for spread bets, the bet likely earned the bettor a $100,000 windfall.
The Toronto Raptors entered Thursday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks having beaten Giannis Antetokounmpo’s team 124-113 two days ago in Milwaukee.
Despite that victory, the Raptors entered Thursday’s game as +7.5 betting underdogs against the Bucks. Not only did the Bucks have the better record than the Raptors, Milwaukee had not lost five straight games during the previous four seasons.
Milwaukee has been one of the most consistent regular season teams in the last couple of years and has finished with the best regular season record in each of the last two seasons. But right now, they are in some kind of a funk and entered their second matchup with Toronto having dropped four straight games.

BetMGM listed Milwaukee as a -240 betting favorite to beat Toronto, who was pegged at +200. The spread line was +7.5 points for the Raptors.Entering the game, the Bucks were 9-3 at home and 12-6 against Eastern Conference teams. Meanwhile, Toronto was 7-9 SU on the road and were three games behind Milwaukee in the Eastern Conference team standings.
In short, the Bucks were sizeable favorites over the Raptors for Thursday’s game and with Kyle Lowry unavailable for Toronto, the absence of Jrue Holiday on Milwaukee’s side should’ve been offset. All things considered, Giannis and Middleton were supposed to lead the charge and put the Bucks back on the winners circle.

However, all of those did not prevent a Las Vegas bettor from wagering $110,000 on the Raptors at +7.5 points. Although the plus points were enticing, six figure bets aren’t common at this stage of the season. But even then, betting that much on a 13-15 team against one of the title favorites was unexpected. But behind Norman Powell’s season high 29 points and Spicy P’s 27 markers, the Raptors won the game outright 110-96 and produced an easy ATS win.
BetMGM didn’t reveal how much the bet paid out but it likely made $100,000 at -110, the usual odds for spread bets at the best NBA betting sites. The moneyline for Toronto would’ve paid out more at +240 but making that bet would have been too brave, even for this bettor. Still, winning six figures in a regular season game that wasn’t as anticipated as the Lakers vs Nets game is not bad at all for a Thursday payday.
