- Las Vegas Aces’ A’ja Wilson is the odds-on favorite to win the 2022 WNBA MVP award at +120 odds.
- 2018 MVP winner Breanna Stewart of the Seattle Storm is second at +230 odds.
- New York’s Sabrina Ionescu is among the value sleepers at +1000 odds.
The Las Vegas’ aces loss of Liz Cambage has been A’ja Wilson’s gain.
Cambage’s departure to Los Angeles has given Wilson the chance to dominate off the glass, elevating the latter’s game to another level, and putting Wilson on top of the WNBA MVP betting boards.

Wilson is currently the +120 odds on favorite to win the 2022 WNBA MVP award. The 25-year-old 1st overall pick of the 2018 WNBA Draft by the Las Vegas Aces won the WNBA MVP award in 2020. That season, Wilson averaged 20.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, but her undermanned Aces were swept by the Seattle Storm in the Finals.
The Aces are currently the +160 odds on favorite to win the 2022 NBA championship at Bet365 USA. Las Vegas currently has the second-best record in the league and the top record in the Western Conference at 15-7. However, the Aces were just 5-5 in their last 10 games heading to the All-Star break.
Wilson is on pace to average a double-double for the first time in her career as she is currently putting up 18.5 points and a league-leading 10.1 rebounds per game this season. If Wilson can continue to play this way during the second half of the season, and the Aces finish in the Top 3, she will most definitely be among the favorites to win this year’s MVP award.

We saw Seattle Storm forward Breanna Stewart rock her first signature shoe with Puma during the WNBA All-Star weekend. Dubbed the Stewie 1, it’s the first signature shoe in the WNBA in over a decade and Stewart is only the 10th WNBA player to have her own signature shoe. The colorway that Stewart debuted was called “Quiet Fire” which reflects her personality because she lets her game speak for itself. And the oddsmakers agree.
Stewart currently has the second shortest odds to win the 2022 WNBA MVP award at +230 odds. The 2018 MVP winner is the league’s leading scorer at 20.9 points per game and is also ranked 1st in defensive rating at 92.0. She also ranks second in the league in steals at 1.9 which is impressive for a forward in the WNBA.
At +700 is Kelsey Plum who won the 2022 WNBA All-Star Game MVP honors. Plum currently leads the Aces in scoring at 19.9 points per game and is second in the team in assists at 5.7 per contest. At +1000 is Sabrina Ionescu whom some believe has the best betting value among the MVP contenders. Ionescu recently produced the first 30-point triple-double in the WNBA. The Liberty are just one-half game behind the Wings and Dream for the 7th and 8th spot in the playoffs. If New York makes the playoffs after their slow start, Ionescu will be in the MVP conversation.
