In his first media appearance since October 28th, Henry told reporters during a nine-minute media session on Wednesday that he’s ready to go out there and play. The Titans’ superstar running back hasn’t played since October 31 when he suffered a foot injury and he missed the Titan’s last eight regular season games.
Henry was Tennessee’s main offensive weapon. He led the league in rushing with 937 yards before he got hurt and also had 10 rushing touchdowns on 219 attempts. He also caught 18 passes for 154 yards for a total of 1,091 total scrimmage yards before the injury. Because of his production, Henry has the shortest non-QB odds to win the MVP at +2000 prior to his absence.
However, Tennessee placed Henry on the “Designated for Return From Injured Reserve List” on January 5 and he’s been been practicing ever since. Last Tuesday, Henry attended his first practice in pads and he said that the contact “felt geat”. Now, the Titans must activate Henry from Injury Reserve, and off the Designated for Return list so that he can play in this weekend’s divisional round against the Cincinnati Bengals at their Nissan Stadium.
