Expectations are high in Buffalo right now with the Bills heading to the 2022 season as the odds-on favorites to win Super Bowl LVII. This marks the first time since 1992 when Buffalo was co-favorites with the San Francisco 49ers that the Bills have opened on top of the betting mountain. The Bills opened training camp on Wednesday and were met by hundreds of their fans.
With an offense that ranked 5th in total yards and third in points scored per game last season, the Bills didn’t do much tinkering at the end of the field. However, despite ranking first in total yards allowed, points per game allowed, and passing yards per game allowed, the Bills upgraded by signing defensive superstar Von Miller who is coming off a year where he helped the L.A. Rams win Super Bowl LVI.
There’s no question that general manager Brandon Beane has built arguably the deepest roster in the league today. Not only does the current Bills team have elite athleticism, but it also has plenty of upsides. That team is good enough to win it all this season, at least according to the top NFL sportsbooks and their odds continue to get better as the season nears.

While the Bills have seen their odds go past the +600 mark, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers saw their title odds significantly improve after Tom Brady decided to “un-retire” last March. Tampa Bay moved from +2200 to +750 immediately after Brady announced that he was coming back. The Bucs have since signed WR Julio Jones and their odds have shortened further to +700, right behind the Bills.
The Kansas City Chiefs have the third-best odds to win the Lombardi Trophy at +950. Kansas City was the +600 betting favorite to win Super Bowl LVI last season. They also opened as the +750 co-favorites with the Bills last February 13th. But after trading Tyreek Hill, the Chiefs have moved down in the latest Super Bowl betting boards. Kansas City is the only other team with odds shorter than +1000.
Despite winning Super Bowl LVI, the Los Angeles Rams sit in the fourth spot with their +1100 odds. Also listed at +1100 are the Green Bay Packers who will be returning back-to-back MVP winner Aaron Rodgers. The Los Angeles Chargers are next at +1500 while the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos are currently listed at +1600.
