The Dallas Cowboys have opened with the largest Week 12 spread. Coming off a 19-9 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, the Cowboys are 7-point betting favorites at home against the skidding Las Vegas Raiders.

Dallas hosting Las Vegas will be one of the three games featured in NFL’s Thanksgiving Thursday schedule. The Chicago Bears will visit the Detroit Lions in the day’s curtain-raiser while the New Orleans Saints host the Buffalo Bills in the featured game.

Dallas Second-Best ATS Team in NFL

Despite losing to the Chiefs and failing to cover the spread last week, the Cowboys are still the second-best ATS team in the NFL this season at 8-2, behind only the Green Bay Packers who are 9-2 ATS this year. The Raiders meanwhile, are just 4-6 ATS this year and have failed to cover the betting spread in six out of their last eight games.

The red-hot New England Patriots have the week’s second-largest opening spread at -5.5 points at home against the Tennessee Titans. The Patriots and the Titans are tied with the Indianapolis Colts with the 4th best ATS record in the league this season at 7-4 ATS so we’ll see what gives in this game.

Meanwhile, the Buffalo Bills have the third-largest opening spread for Week 12 at -4.5 points against the New Orleans Saints on the road. The Bills are just 5-4-1 ATS on the season and they are just 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games. The Saints meanwhile are 5-5 ATS this campaign and have alternated with a W and L against the spread.

Bears Open as -3.5 Road Favorites Against Lions

The Chicago Bears have the next highest betting spread as -3.5 point road betting favorites against the winless Detroit Lions. The only other games with an opening spread of more than a field goal are the Philadelphia Eagles at -3.5 points at the New York Giants, the San Francisco 49ers at -3.5 at home against the Minnesota Vikings, and the Ravens at -3.5 in Baltimore against the Cleveland Browns. The other seven games for the week have a betting spread between 0.5 to 3.0 points.

Tampa Bay is the only other team to have a spread of at least a field goal as the defending Super Bowl champions Buccaneers are a -3 on the road against the Indianapolis Colts. The Houston Texans are 2.5 point home favorites against the New York Jets while the Los Angeles Chargers are -2 points up on the road against the Denver Broncos.

There are four games with a betting spread lesser than 2 points. These are the Green Bay Packers who are a -1.5 at Lambeau Field against the Los Angeles Rams, Carolina Panthers who are one-point road favorites against the Miami Dolphins, Atlanta Falcons who are also solitary point favorites in their trip to Jacksonville against the Jaguars. Then there are the Seattle Seahawks who are a mere half-a-point spread favorites when they visit the Washington Football Team.
