Dak Prescott’s odds are on the rise.

Not only is the Dallas Cowboys QB on top of the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year Award, but he has also emerged as the new betting favorite to win NFL MVP honors.

According to the latest odds from the BetOnline App, Prescott is the new +675 odds on favorite to win this year’s MVP award. Los Angeles Rams starter Matthew Stafford is next at +700 while former top favorites Tom Brady, Kyler Murray, and Patrick Mahomes have dropped to +725, +725, and +750, respectively at the same sportsbook.

Dak Had Himself a Night

Prescott had himself a night last Monday in his first game at Cowboys Stadium since his injury 351 days ago. Dak completed 21 of 26 passes for 238 passing yards with three touchdowns while leading the Cowboys to a 41-21 blowout win over the Philadelphia Eagles as a 3.5 point spread and -200 Moneyline favorites in the Week 3 edition of Monday Night Football.

Through his first three games this season Prescott has thrown for 878 yards and 6 passing touchdowns, both of which are good for 10th best in the league. His current 77.5% completion rate is the second-highest ever through three games during the Super Bowl era, behind only Drew Brees’ 80.1% during the 2018 season. He also joins Brees and Brady as the only QBs in history to throw for at least 800 yards with a completion rate of 77% or better in his first three games of the season.

With Prescott looking better than ever, the Cowboys are off to a 2-1 start and have won back-to-back games after dropping a heartbreaking last-second 31-29 loss to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on opening night. Dallas is now a sizeable -225 betting favorite to reclaim the NFC East division title. They are also tied with the 5th best odds to win the NFC at +1200 and the 6th shortest odds to win Super Bowl LVI at +2500.

NFL MVP Odds After Week 3

But while Prescott is on top of the latest BetOnline MVP betting boards, the other top NFL sportsbooks have their own betting favorites. Arizona’s Kyler Murray is the +750 betting favorite at DraftKings while Prescott’s odds of +1800 are 5th. Stafford, Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, and Josh Allen are co-favorites at +800 via FanDuel. Dak is listed at +1200 on that sportsbook.

Meanwhile, Mahomes and Tom Brady are still the co-favorites via PointsBet at +700. Dak Prescott is listed at +1500 there, 5th best odds at that betting site. Stafford meanwhile, is alone by himself on top of Bet365’s MVP odds board at +600. Prescott is listed at 6th there with his +1400 odds.

As we’ve seen every week, the NFL MVP odds are so volatile that they change from week to week and game to game with every elite performance by these contenders. But when you look at the names that have been consistently on top of the list, Dak Prescott is always there. That’s impressive considering where he was one year ago. Indeed Dak is back.
