Nearly two years after they were first scheduled to fight each other, Darren Till is still favored to beat Jack Hermansson although the odds are much closer now than it was when they were originally penciled to meet inside the Octagon.

According to the best UFC betting sites, Till is the -120 betting favorite to beat Hermansson who came back as the +102 betting underdog when the betting lines opened on Sunday after the two agreed to meet at UFC London this coming July 23rd:

The current odds are closer than the opening prices last August after they were booked to fight at UFC on ESPN 19 last December 2020. Till opened at a slightly shorter -130 odds while Hermansson hit the betting boards at +110 odds back then. That fight got canceled after Till withdrew due to injury.

Derek Brunson Submits Darren Till

Till is trying to get back on track after suffering back-to-back losses in his previous two appearances. Overall, The Gorilla has dropped four out of his last five bouts after going unbeaten in his first UFC UFC assignments, with one draw. In his most recent bout, Till got dominated and submitted by Derek Brunson at UFC Vegas 36 last September 4, 2021.

The 29-year-old from Liverpool, England is still the no. 8 ranked middleweight in the UFC despite his recent struggles. Till began his MMA career in Brazil and has fought for Brazilian promotions like Sparta MMA, Tavares Combat, Aspera Fighting Championship, and Arena Tour MMA. He joined the UFC in 2015 and owns notable wins against Donald Cerrone, Stephen Thompson, and Kelvin Gastelum. Till has a record of 18-4 with 10 knockouts and two submission victories.

His opening odds of -120 represent his longest opening odds when on minus money. In previous bouts as opening favorites, Till has been favored by at least -150. In his most recent bout against Brunson, the Gorilla opened at -138 odds and closed as the -145 betting favorite.

Sean Strickland Cruises Past Jack Hermansson

Like Till, Hermansson head to this bout coming off a defeat. In his most recent Octagon appearance at UFC, Hermansson lost a split decision against Sean Strickland in a fight that Strickland dominated from start to finish. That defeat was Hermansson’s third in his last five bouts after starting his UFC career with a very good 7-2 record.

The 33-year-old from Uddevalla, Sweden is a former Cage Warrior and Warriors Cage Series middleweight champion. Hermansson also fought under Bellator and Venator FC before joining the UFC in 2016. The Joker has an overall record of 22-7 with 11 knockouts and seven submission wins. He owns notable wins against the likes of Thales Leites, Gerald Meerschaert, Jacare Souza, Kelvin Gastelum, and Edmen Shabahzyan.

Hermansson will be the betting underdog for the fifth time in his last eight UFC bouts. However, he won two of the previous four bouts where he saw the plus money sign written next to his name. The Joker was the +100 underdog when he fought Gastelum and was listed at +185 odds when he defeated Jacare Souza.
