The Los Angeles Dodgers are a team that has been the darling of the sportsbooks.

Since the 2019 season, they have been listed as betting underdogs only 12 times, including only thrice in the previous three campaigns. At home, the Dodgers have even been more impressive as they have been favored in 300 consecutive games, thrice more than any MLB team since 2000.

Home Favorites in 300 Consecutive Games

Entering Tuesday’s games, the Dodgers have been home betting favorites in 300 consecutive games. Since 2018, they have been home underdogs only once and since 2019, L.A. has posted an impressive 159-63 SU record as home favorites or a winning percentage of 71.6. During that span, the Dodgers’ average margin of victory was two runs and they were a +0.5 at the run line.

Last season, the Dodgers went 62-25 SU as home favorites or a winning percentage of 71.3% with a margin of victory of 1.7 runs and a +0.2 at the run line. Overall, they finished the regular season with a record of 106-56 or one game behind the San Francisco Giants who had the best record in baseball at 107-55. Los Angeles defeated the Giants in the NLDS but were beaten by the eventual World Series champs Atlanta Braves 4-2 in the NLCS, marking the 6th consecutive season where they have been eliminated by the World Series winner or won it themselves.

The Dodgers’ impressive home mark has allowed them to post a franchise-record 106 regular season wins in each of the previous two seasons. They have posted a winning percentage of .614 since Andrew Friedman became president of baseball operations in 2015 and have a .604 winning percentage in the last nine seasons. However, despite winning 8 consecutive division titles during that span, they have produced only one World Series win.
