The BKFC is Set to Hold its Next Event on April 30
It’s been an exciting past few years for the Bare-Knuckle Fighting Championship. This combat sports promotion first launched back in 2018. Dave Feldman, the President of BKFC, has done a fantastic job signing well-known fighters to the roster.
2021 has already been a successful year for the promotion. Back in February, the BKFC held its biggest event to date over Super Bowl weekend. This card was stacked with talent and featured a main event between Britain Hart and Paige VanZant.
A month later, the BKFC returned with another exciting event in Biloxi, Mississippi. This card produced fireworks for fans. In the main event, Leonard Garcia earned a unanimous decision victory over Joe Elmore.
The promotion’s next event is set to take place this Friday! Fans are already getting excited to see this fight card take place. To the delight of many bare-knuckle boxing enthusiasts, this event will finally feature the heavyweight title eliminator fight between Frank Tate and Josh Burns.
Many different online sports betting sites are now offering odds on this matchup. These two heavyweight knockout artists are both pushing hard to earn a shot at the world title.
This promotion continues to expand. We’re now beginning to hear about one exciting matchup that the BKFC is targeting.
More Fans are Now Calling for VanZant vs. Ostovich in the BKFC
Paige VanZant became a star during her tenure with the UFC. She’s undeniably beautiful and also recorded several wins over fantastic fighters. After a loss to Amanda Ribas in July of 2020, Paige announced she was departing from the UFC.
News eventually broke that she had signed a multiple-fight deal with the BKFC. It was surprising news for many fans to hear. Not many expected to see the Instagram star to transition into the bare-knuckle fighting game.
VanZant ended up losing her debut with the promotion but had a good showing. Shortly after the loss, Paige announced that she was looking forward to competing in the BKFC in the future. The promotion has been quiet about who she will be facing in her debut.
Not long ago, reports confirmed that Rachael Ostovich had also signed a deal with the BKFC. It didn’t take long for fans to begin calling for VanZant vs. Ostovich. These two women have massive followings and would likely bring in a huge amount of viewers to their bout.
Just a few weeks ago, Dave Feldman gave a timeline for Paige VanZant’s return. It appears she could be returning to face off with Ostovich sometime this summer.
“She’s [VanZant] either June 18 or July,” Feldman said. “We’re working on that right now. We should have that in the next week or so. The girl that she’s going to fight, her manager is going through some personal issues so we haven’t been able to consummate that right now but probably in the next week or so. It’s going to be a very, very interesting, intriguing matchup. But I can’t wait to tell you who the main event is.”
VanZant vs. Ostovich is an exciting matchup. They both have massive followings and will likely put on an extremely exciting bout. We’ll be sure to offer updates on this possible bout over the next few weeks.
