Felice Herrig will be the betting underdog in her rematch against Karolina Kowalkiewicz.

Herrig hit the opening betting boards at even money odds while Kowalkiewicz was listed at -120 when the best UFC betting sites first posted the betting odds for their expected June 4th bout:

Herrig and Kowalkiewicz have been inactive as of late but will be making a return at UFC Vegas 56 on June 4th at the UFC APEX Facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.

These two fought previously at UFC 223 with Kowalkiewicz defeating Herrig via unanimous decision.

Virna Jandiroba Armbars Herrig

Herrig heads to this bout having lost her last three outings. In her most recent bout at UFC 252 last August 15, 2020, she suffered a submission loss to Virna Jandiroba. Prior to her losing skid, the 37-year-old from Crystal Lake, Illinois won five out of her first six UFC bouts, with her only loss coming at the hands of Paige Van Zant.

Prior to her MMA career, Herrig was a professional kickboxer who had a record of 23-5 and was once ranked no. 2 in the world in the International Professional Kickboxing (IKF) Pro Women’s Muay Thai Bantamweight Division. She began her MMA career with XFO, Hoosier Fight Club, XFC, Bellator, and Invicta FC before joining the UFC in 2014. Overall, Herrig has a pro MMA record of 14-9 with one knockout and four submission victories.

The Little Bulldog was the betting underdog in six out of her last eight UFC bouts. She won four of those eight fights, including three where she had the plus money sign written next to her name. Herrig was the +165 betting underdog when she fought Kowalkiewicz at UFC 223.

Jessica Penne Submits Kowalkiewicz

Like Herrig, Kowalkiewicz enterers their rematch with a string of losses. The Polish Princess dropped seven out of her last nine UFC bouts including her last five. In her most recent Octagon appearance, Kowalkiewicz was submitted by Jessica Penne inside one round at UFC 265 last August 7, 2021.

The 36-year-old from Lodz, Poland is a former KSW women’s flyweight champion who also fought under Invicta FC. She joined the UFC in 2015 and after winning her first three Octagon assignments, she challenged Joanna Jedrzejczyk for the UFC women’s strawweight title. Kowalkiewicz lost the bout via unanimous decision. Overall, she has a record of 12-7 with one knockout and two submission victories.

Kowalkiewicz was the betting favorite in two out of her last five losses. She was the -160 odds on favorite during her UFC on ESPN 2 loss to Michelle Waterson and was also the -158 betting favorite when she was finished by Penne in her most recent bout. Kowalkiewicz opened at -270 and closed at -190 in her first bout with Herrig.
