Jordan Wright Gets Lit Up by Bruno Silva

Wright has alternated wins and losses in four UFC bouts. In his last assignment, Wright got lit up with punches from Bruno Silva in a first round knockout loss at UFC 269 last December 11, 2021. In that bout, Wright had Silva hurt early on but Silva turned the tide with one big punch that led to the stoppage.

The 30-year-old from San Antonio Texas known as the Beverly Hills Ninja began his MMA career in the California regional circuits where he fought under XFS and Gladiator Challenge. Wright also appeared for Alaska FC and LFA before making an appearance in the Contender Series where he was knocked out by Anthony Hernandez. That loss was overturned to a no-contest after Hernandez failed a drug test. Wright is 12-2 with seven knockouts and five submission wins.

This will be the third time in five UFC bouts where Wright has opened as the betting favorite. Wright also hit the betting boards at -150 against Ike Villanueva and was the -120 odds on favorite when the betting lines for his bout with Jamie Pickett first went live. Wright is 2-0 with two knockouts as a UFC betting favorite.

Chidi Njokuani Knocks Out Marc Andre-Barriault

Barriault was knocked out in just 16 seconds by the debuting Chidi Njokuani at UFC Vegas 47 just last February 22. The defeat snapped a two-fight winning streak for Barraiult who lost his first three UFC fights and saw his first promotional win against Oscar Piechota overturned to a no-contest after he tested positive for an illegal substance.

The 32-year-old from Quebec, Canada is a former TKO middleweight and light heavyweight champion. Barriault was also the Hybrid Combat middleweight champion and had won eight consecutive bouts when he signed with the UFC in 2019. Overall, Barriault has a record of 13-5 with nine knockouts.

It’s only the second time in Bariault’s career that he’s seen the plus money sign written next to his name on the opening odds boards. The Canadian opened at +170 odds when he fought Krzysztof Jotko at UFC 240. He lost that fight via split decision. In his last bout, Barriault was the -125 betting favorite when he lost to Njokuani.
