Jennifer Maia will look to avenge her defeat to Katlyn Chookagian when they meet at UFC Fight Night 201 on January 15th. However, the best UFC sportsbooks are saying otherwise.
According to the oddsmakers, Chookagian is a -145 to repeat over Maia while the latter is a +125 underdog in the rematch she’s been waiting for two years:

It can be recalled that Chookagian defeated Maia via unanimous decision at UFC 244 last November 2, 2019. That win led to a title shot for Chookagian who ended up getting knocked out by Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 247.

Since that loss to Shevchenko, Chookagian has won three of four bouts, including her last two. In her most recent bout, Chookagian outpointed Viviane Araujo via unanimous decision at UFC 262 to get back on a winning streak. One fight earlier, Chookagian also scored a points win over Cynthia Calvillo at UFC 255.
The 32-year old from Quakertown, Pennsylvania is the current no. 2 ranked female flyweight in the UFC. Chookagian is a former CFFC women’s flyweight and bantamweight champion who joined the UFC in 2016. She’s amassed a UFC record of 9-4 with her losses coming at the hands of Jessica Andrade, Jessica Eye, Shevchenko, and Liz Carmouche. She owns notable wins over the likes of Lauren Murphy, Irene Aldana, Alexis Davis, Joanne Calderwood, and Valentina’s sister Antonina.
This is only the second time in her last six bouts where Chookagian has seen the minus money sign next to her name. She was the +700 underdog when she lost to Valentina, and a +155 when she was defeated by Andrade. However, she also picked up wins over Antonina as the +125 underdog and a +225 bottom dog against Calvillo. Chookagian was the -165 betting favorite when she beat Maia in their first meeting.

Maia meanwhile is coming off a unanimous decision win over former title challenger Jessica Eye. The 33-year old from Curitiba, Brazil fought and lost to Valentina Shevchenko for the UFC flyweight title at UFC 255. But unlike Chookagian who was stopped by Bullet, Maia went the five-round distance with the champ.
A former Invicta FC flyweight champion with two title defenses, the 4th ranked Maia joined the UFC in 2018 but has not been able to find consistent success inside the Octagon. After losing her debut against Liz Carmouche, she picked up back-to-back wins over Alexis Davis and Roxanne Modafferi. She’s split her last four bouts with wins over Joanne Calderwood and Eye and losses to Chookagian and Shevchenko.
Maia will be the underdog for the fourth time in five bouts. She was a +115 against Chookagian the first time out, +175 against Calderwood, and a massive +1100 against Shevchenko. Maia was the -200 favorite when she defeated Eye and a -130 when she defeated Modafferi in July 2019.
