Kenneth Walker Vaults to Second on Latest Heisman Trophy Odds Boards

Kenneth Walker Running Back Spartans Background

  • Kenneth Walker has moved to second in the latest Heisman oddsboard at BetOnline with his +375 odds.
  • Walker rushed for 197 yards on 23 carries with 5 TD during Michigan State’s 37-33 win over Michigan last weekend.
  • The Spartans are currently the no. 5 ranked team in the nation in the latest AP Poll.

Kenneth Walker’s name wasn’t even on the Heisman betting boards during the preseason. He entered as a longshot 50/1 during the second week of September.

But after a massive performance last Saturday against Michigan, Walker has moved up to second in the BetOnline Heisman odds board.

Walker Has Vaulted to 2nd on the Heisman List

Walker is now listed at +375 to win the Heisman Trophy and only Alabama QB Bryce Young is ahead of him at the BetOnline betting board. Oklahoma QB Caleb Williams is now third at +425 while Ohio State signal-caller CJ Stroud is fourth at +600. Former frontrunner Matt Corral of Ole Miss completes the BetOnline Top 5 with his +650 odds.

Walker has also moved to second at Caesars Sportsbook where he is currently listed at +300, behind only Young’s +175 odds. Stroud is pegged at +450 along with Corral while William is at +750 at Caesars. PointsBet has Walker tied with Stroud in the second spot at +450 with Young leading the way with his +185 odds.

On the other hand, BetMGM’s Top 3 consists of Young at +175, Corral at +275, and Stroud at +450. However, Walker has inched closer at fourth with his +500 odds. Young, Corral, and Stroud are also ahead of Walker’s +500 via Bet365 USA at +175, +450, and +450, respectively. Walker is also third at +350 via MyBookie.ag with Young’s +200 and Williams’ +300 the only shorter Heisman odds at that online sportsbook.

Heisman-Level Performance Against Michigan

Walker’s sudden rise in the Heisman odds boards came after a Heisman-level performance against rival Michigan last weekend. Both Top 10 ranked teams entered the game undefeated and Walker stole the show with a dominant performance in one of the biggest college football games of the year.

The Spartans junior RB accounted for more than 50% of Michigan State’s offensive output with 197 rushing yards on 23 carries while scoring all of the Spartans’ five touchdowns, all on the ground. Walker scored twice in the first half but Michigan State trailed 23-14 at the half. That deficit grew to 30-14 midway through the third quarter but that’s when Walker turned on the afterburners and rallied the Spartans to a thrilling 37-33 win.

Michigan State is now ranked 5th in the latest AP Poll and as long as the Spartans keep on winning, Walker will be in the Heisman conversation. He entered the Michigan game with +1600 odds but has moved all the way up to the +350 to +500 range, depending on which of the best college football sportsbooks you use.
