Pereira is the most popular bet at the UFC 276 main card with 72% of the total bets at -118 odds against the streaking Sean Strickland. Meanwhile, Adesanya has 67% of the betting slips for his main event bout versus Jared Cannonier. Izzy is the -400 betting favorite to retain the UFC middleweight belt against Cannonier.
If the bettors are correct and both Pereira and Adesanya win their respective bouts on Saturday night, the two could end up fighting each other next. Adesanya has Pereira on his radar and recently said that if they both win on Saturday night, he can’t wait to get his hands on Pereira. Although Pereira isn’t in the Top 10 in the latest middleweight rankings, the UFC middleweight champion has an ax to grind against the Brazilian.
Adesanya and Pereira fought twice at the Glory kickboxing promotion with Pereira beating Adesanya twice, including a 3rd round TKO in their rematch, in what proved to be Adesanya’s final kickboxing bout. A lot has changed since then for both fighters but for sure, Adesanya hasn’t forgotten those two losses yet.
The Trilogy Bout Awaits

Sandwiched between Adesanya’s five-round main event against Cannonier and Pereira’s expected firefight against Sean Strickland is the co-main event of UFC 276 where UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski meets former champion, Max Holloway, for the third time.
According to BetOnline, Holloway has 56% of the total bets at +165 odds. That’s not surprising at all considering many felt that Holloway did enough to beat Volkanovski in their rematch at UFC 251 which Volk won via split decision. No question Volkanovski upset Holloway in their first meeting but many continue to believe they should be 1-1 heading to Saturday’s trilogy bout.
The other bout in the main card has one of the UFC’s top prospects in Sean O’Malley listed as the -250 betting favorite to beat veteran campaigner Pedro Munhoz who is currently priced at +210 odds. According to BetOnline, 62% of the total betting tickets have been written in favor of O’Malley.
