The Philadelphia 76ers have opened as the betting favorites to win their first-round Eastern Conference playoff series against the Toronto Raptors.

The 76ers finished the regular season tied with the second-best record in the Eastern Conference at 51-31 but after the tiebreakers were applied, they ended up as the 4th seed. The Sixers closed out the regular season with a 6-4 L-10 games record while winning five out of their last six games played.
Meanwhile, the Raptors stormed to the 5th seed with a hot streak that began in March. Toronto is 14-4 in their last 18 games played, the best record in the NBA during that stretch. They had a L-10 games record of 8-2, losing their final game of the regular season to the New York Knicks which was a no-bearing game where both Pascal Siakam and Freed VanVleet sat out.
Toronto won their regular season series 3-1 including a 119-114 win just last April 7th. The last time these teams met in the playoffs was in 2019 when Kawhi Leonard hit a game-winning jumper in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. The Raptors went on to win the 2019 NBA title.

Game 1 of the series will be on Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Center. The Sixers have opened as the -4.5 point spread and -190 Moneyline favorites to beat the Raptors in the opening game of the series. Meanwhile, the Raptors head to Philly as +165 Moneyline and +4.5 points spread underdogs.

According to the BetOnline App, the series is favored to go the full seven-game route at +195 while the odds of it ending in Game 6 is listed at +200. The series ending in five games is third at +250 while a sweep by either team is currently priced at +575.
ESPN polled its personalities on the series and 12 of 17 picked it to go seven games while the remaining five picked the series to end in Game 6. 9 of the 12 who picked the series to reach Game 7 predicted that the Sixers will emerge victorious. Meanwhile, three of the five who picked the series to end in six games also picked the 76ers to triumph.

The Sixers are +325 favorites to win the series in seven games. Philadelphia winning in five games is next at +375 while the Sixers ending the series in six games is third at +450. Toronto enters the picture at +650 to win the series in seven games. That is followed by Philly sweeping the series at +750. The Raptors winning 4-2 is at +1000 while Toronto in five games is listed at +1100 and a Raptors sweep is priced at +2200.
