  • The deal marks the third deal by the Lions with a casino after deals with BetMGM and WynnBet.

Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort in Michigan recently announced a partnership with the NFL’s Detroit Lions.

The deal marks the third such partnership with a casino for the Lions. Previously, Detroit’s NFL team signed agreements with BetMGM and WynnBET.

Said Soaring Eagle CEO, Melinda Coffin:

“Soaring Eagle Gaming is honored to join forces with the Detroit Lions in a multiyear partnership that will bring excitement to Lions fans. Soaring Eagle Gaming is eager to bring excitement to fans with our support of Power Hour, our Fan Cave experience, and gaming-related offers from all of our properties.”

Deal Includes Television Special

While the Lions’ partnership deals with BetMGM and WynnBet mostly included traditional marketing perks such as signage presence and authorized logo use, the deal with Soaring Eagle Casino includes an appearance in the Lions’ three-episode TV special which will tell behind-the-scenes stories within the organization, similar to HBO’s Hard Knocks series.

Entitled “Inside the Den”, the show began airing on the Lions TV affiliate stations last week with the two other episodes scheduled for August 15th and September 5th. As part of the deal, Soaring Eagle Casino will be a presenting partner of the show.

Other Elements of the Agreement

Soaring Eagle Casino will also be the presenting partner of “Power Hour” at Ford Field on game days. The event will feature games like “Spin it to win it” and “Roar-aoke” where fans can win prizes courtesy of the casino. Prizes include a free night’s stay at the casino property, free play, concert tickets, resort credits, and more.

A Fan Cave on the 300-plus level concourse plus a sweepstakes during the preseason where fans can win an on-field experience at one of the 2022 Lions’ home games are also part of the fan-engagement elements of the agreement.
