Tennessee Titans are 4-0 SU and ATS as Underdogs the Last Four Weeks

Titans Vs Rams NFL Background

  • The Tennessee Titans defeated the Los Angeles Rams 28-16 on Sunday night.
  • Tennessee has now won five in a row, including 4-0 SU and ATS in their last four games as betting underdogs.
  • The Titans’ Super Bowl odds have shortened to a season-low +1000 at Points Bet USA after Sunday’s win.

The Tennessee Titans have won five straight games after beating the Los Angeles Rams 28-16 on Sunday night.

With superstar RB Derrick Henry out for the foreseeable future, the Titans leaned on their defense to deliver their 7th victory of the season. The Tennessee defense sacked Matthew Stafford five times, forced him to throw two interceptions, including a pick-six, in arguably his worst game as a Ram.

Tennessee held the NFL’s 5th highest-scoring team to only 16 points their offense produced a total of three touchdowns for their fifth consecutive triumph. With the Packers’ six-game winning streak ended by the Chiefs on the same playdate, the Titans now have the current longest winning streak in the league.

But that’s not the end of the Titans’ story.

4-0 SU and ATS as Underdogs the Last Four Weeks

Tennessee has also won four in a row as betting underdogs and with a betting spread of +3.0 or larger. Three of those four wins have come against teams that had shorter Super Bowl odds than them at the time of their meeting. And all four teams were playoffs teams in 2020.

According to ESPN Stats and Info, the Titans are only the 4th team in the last 15 years to win four straight games against opponents who made the playoffs during the immediate previous season. The first three teams to achieve the feat- the 2011 Patriots, 2010 Packers, and 2009 Saints, all went on to play in the Super Bowl with Green Bay and New Orleans going all the way to win it.

As far as the 2021 Titans are concerned, going to the Super Bowl is still a big question mark, especially since they could be without their best offensive player – the fuel to their offensive engine, the rest of the way. But with Tennessee at 7-2 and on top of the AFC conference team standings right now, this year is looking like a special one and the best NFL sportsbooks are starting to notice.

Titans Now at +1300 to Win Title

As early as the first quarter, when the Titans defense picked off Matthew Stafford near the goal line, Tennessee’s futures odds already moved to +1300 at PointsBet and settled down at +1000 after the Titans completed the upset win. They now have the 7th best odds at that sportsbook and are now listed higher than the Cowboys (+1100) and Chiefs (+1200).

At BetMGM, Tennessee’s Super Bowl odds went from +1400 to +1600 after Derrick Henry got injured. Those odds have gone back to +1400 after the win over the Rams. The BetOnline App meanwhile, moved the Titans from +1400 to +1800 after Henry’s injury. The said online sportsbook has shortened their odds to +1200 on Monday morning. The Titans’ odds are also at +1200 at the Caesars Sportsbook.

PointsBet USA currently has the shortest Super Bowl Odds for the Titans at +1000. These odds were at +1400 after Week 8 and drifted to +2200. However, sharp money shortened it back to 1600 shortly before Sunday’s game.
