- The former Clemson Tiger is a massive -10000 odds on favorite to be picked first overall in the 2021 NFL Draft.
While most of this year’s NFL draft hopefuls are going to Indianapolis for the in person medical exams and physicals, Trevor Lawrence will spend his weekend on a personal trip.
On Thursday, Lawrence and his fiance were spotted attending the first round of the 2021 Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta. There, he was caught on camera sharing words with Kansas City superstar Patrick Mahomes. But watching golf isn’t why Lawrence decided to skip Indianapolis.
According to a report from the NFL Network, the former Clemson Tigers QB is getting married to his longtime girlfriend Marissa Mowry on Saturday in Bluffton, South Carolina in a private ceremony. The Clemson Insider recently revealed that the newly-weds will have a big honeymoon at a later date.
Lawrence is still recovering from shoulder surgery on his non-throwing arm but is doing well, per the report. He is expected to be ready when training camp starts in July.

Lawrence proposed to Mowry at Clemson’s Memorial Stadium in July 2020. In an Instagram post, Mowry said that it was the “easiest yes” of her life. Mowry and Lawrence have been dating since high school as both attended Cartersville High in Georgia. They celebrated their 4th year anniversary last May and two months later, Lawrence popped the question.
As a normal young couple, Lawrence and Mowry set up their desired gift wish list at The Knot.com with prices ranging from $2.95 for for a mercer square appetizer plate, $29.95 for an Addie felted pillow, $34.95 Aleksi Faux fur pillow, to aa $1,548 gleaming primrose mirror set. Other items in the couple’s registry wish list include a wifi robotic vacuum costing $349.49, 14-piece knife set, and a $179.95 juice fountain.
But perhaps the best wedding gift for the couple would come after the wedding and after the NFL draft where Lawrence is the presumptive no. 1 pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars. According to Sportrac.com, Lawrence’s rookie contract could be worth $34.7M including $22M in bonuses.

In what did not come as a surprise, Lawrence announce in January that he will forego his senior season and apply for the 2021 NFL Draft. Considered as a generational talent, Lawrence had a remarkable CFB career where he compiled a record of 34-2, winning his first 25 starts before suffering his first loss during last year’s College Football championship game against LSU. His second loss came in his final collegiate game this past season when Clemson lost to Ohio State in the College Football Playoff semifinals.
Lawrence entered college football with a lot of hype but he lived up to it and did more. As a true freshman, he caught national attention when he led the Tigers to the National Title. He would sustain his greatness over the next two seasons, while solidifying his case as the odds on favorite to be the no. 1 pick overall in the 2021 NFL Draft.
The Jacksonville Jaguars, who finished the 2020 NFL season with a humiliating 1-15 record, are 100% sure to select him with the top pick of the draft. Online sportsbook BetOnline has him as a massive -10000 odds on favorite to get picked first with Zach WIlson a distant second at +1200 and Justin Fields at +2000. Barring any ridiculous change in fortune, Lawrence is a lock to be the top pick of the draft.
