Vicente Luque vs Belal Muhammad Current Betting Odds Closer than Opening Prices

Saturday night’s UFC Vegas 51 main event between Top 6 UFC welterweights Vicente Luque and Belal Muhammad is a much closer fight now than it was when the best UFC betting sites first opened the betting odds.

That shows that despite getting knocked out in their first meeting, the early betting action has favored the underdog, causing Muhammad’s odds to shorten to +155 and Luque’s price to fade to -170.

Luque Opened at -210

It can be recalled that Luque opened as the -210 betting favorite to beat Muhammad who came back at +180 when the betting lines first opened. The initial betting lines weren’t surprising at all because Luque was ranked one spot higher than Muhammad in the UFC welterweight rankings and because of their history.

Luque knocked out Muhammad during their first meeting at UFC 205 in New York. Since then, Luque has won 10 out of his last 12 bouts including nine via stoppage. The Silent Assassin heads to UFC Vegas 51 with four straight victories- two via submission and two via knockout. In his last bout, Luque halted Michael Chiesa’s red hot streak with a D’Arce choke submission at UFC 265.

But Muhammad has also found plenty of success since their fight bout. The 33-year-old from Chicago, Illinois has also fought 12 times since his first bout with Luque and has won 10 times with one no-contest. Muhammad heads to the APEX Facility coming off back-to-back wins against Demian Maia and Stephen Thompson.

Muhammad +225 to Win by Decision

Muhammad winning the bout on points is the favorite method of victory in the fight at +225 with 15 of his 20 wins coming via decision. Luque winning the fight via KO, TKO, or DQ is second at +240 while Luque winning via decision and submission are next at +325 and +350. Muhammad winning the fight via KO, TKO, or DQ is listed at +1000 as is Muhammad winning via submission. The odds of the fight ending in a draw are at +6000 via the BetOnline App.

The odds of Luque ending the fight in the opening round is listed at +650.
