The Baltimore Ravens host the Buffalo Bills this week and if the Ravens want to keep pace with the Steelers in the AFC North, they’ll have to bounce back from a tough loss last week at New England by beating the lowly Bills.
Baltimore’s defense is in the top 3 in Points, Yards, and Passing Yards allowed but their offense is only ranked middle of the pack. Their rushing attack should be better than it is, but Ray Rice has looked better of late. He began the season with a few nicks but got back on track last week, carrying the ball a season high 28 times. He looks fresher than he has before, and the Ravens should feed him the ball lots this weekend against the Bills 32nd ranked rush defense.

Buffalo give up over 180 yards per game on the ground, and although their pass defense is ranked a respectable 10th in the league, they give up the most points, with their last 3 opponent averaging 37 points per game. On offense they get an upgrade at the RB position with Fred Jackson getting the majority of carries now that Marshawn Lynch has left, and C.J Spiller is a very competent change of pace back for now. They can run on the Ravens D, as it’s not as stingy as it has been in the past, giving up over 100 yards per game. Ryan Fitzpatrick has shown flares of competitiveness, but don’t count on him being a game changer this week. The Ravens secondary is playing at a very high level this year.

Bills vs. Ravens Prediction for Week 7 Betting:
Game Total Prediction (Top Play): You don’t really know what you’ll get from Buffalo. Theoretically they are one of the worst teams in the league, but they’ve also proven they can play hard when they want to (vs. NE, MIA, JACKS). Coming off a bye, I like them to be a little better than usual, and the Ravens may be looking ahead to their bye next week. I like the Bills to find ways to score this week, and I like Buffalo’s special teams to play a factor. The Raven’s will score this week which leads me to lean with the Over in this one. 40 seems too low of a number this week.
Spread Prediction: The Ravens will be looking to avenge a tough OT loss last week, and when teams need a bounce back game it’s up to the coaching staff and leaders on the team to pick the rest of the team up. Baltimore’s coaching staff is one of the best in the league, and in terms of on field leadership they’ve got a guy called Ray Lewis, who’s pretty good at motivating his team. The Ravens are a very good bounce back team, and a very good team ATS as a favorite, winning 5 of their last 6 as a favorite of 10.5 or greater.
