Yesterday was an unfortunate series of events for myself on the gridiron. To start, the Colts showed no desire in winning that football game from the outset. Chuck Pagano’s trick play early in the game completely turned the tide and ruined it for his team, and as a result we were on the receiving end of a blowout loss. In the late game, the Under looked golden for the first three quarters. Very little scoring or movement made the total of 36 look unattainable, but a string of pointless touchdowns by Seattle late in garbage time of the 4th quarter completely blew that wager up. The Cardinals’ defense looked pathetic and they’re a team that will likely get crushed in Week 1 of the post-season. Overall it was a frustrating day for myself, and we’re now 2-3 on the week after a promising start. Tonight we’ll look to get it back in a battle between two potential playoff squads in the AFC. The talented Broncos are jockeying for positioning, while the Bengals are looking to solidify their claim in the AFC North. It’s going to be the type of game that reverberates around the league and we’ve got you covered to end off the week. Read on below for the official wager and a full game breakdown.

Broncos vs. Bengals Pick:
Entering tonight’s contest it seems as if Peyton Manning is battling some sickness and arm issues. He hasn’t looked right in recent outings to vastly inferior opponents, but should be in line for a bounceback outing against an overrated and banged-up Bengals defense. The Broncos will enter this game hungry as the prospect of securing homefield advantage will be paramount to their playoff success. Tonight they should be a successful team as the Bengals simply cannot get to the quarterback. This is great news for Manning backers as if you give Peyton time and space in the pocket, he can pick any secondary apart. Before last week vs. Manziel, the Bengals ranked dead last in football in terms of sacks. Making matters worse is that key tight-end Julius Thomas returns nicely rested from injury. When you’ve got the two Thomas’ and Emmanuel Sanders all healthy, this offense is dynamite. Look for that group to put on a show Monday evening. Even the relative unknown C.J. Anderson has stepped up of late. The Broncos’ running back has been able to take advantage of a great opportunity and keep opposing defenses in line. The Bengals don’t really have a run stopping defense, conceding an average of 4.42 yards per carry in their past four games. That figure is also including a game where they shut down the Browns. Denver’s offense will face minimal resistance moving the chains tonight, and should be able to pound a vulnerable Bengals defensive group.
One area Denver really hoped to improve upon in 2014 was the play of their defense. Long considered this team’s weakness it’s been better this year and is starting to round into form at the right time. Though they have had some blips, look for this unit to turn in a promising showing against Andy Dalton tonight. Dalton cannot be trusted and is one of the biggest weaknesses of this Bengals team. He routinely makes bad errors and if they do get to the playoffs, you can bet Cincinnati will be eliminated on some questionable quarterbacking from one Andy Dalton. Cincy will struggle tonight. Aqib Talib and Chris Harris are great coverage corners, and with the rushing ability from Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware, it’ll be a long and difficult outing for Dalton. He’ll struggle moving the ball through the air, and their talented run game will face-off against an equally talented run defense. The Broncos are now a complete football team and realize the magnitude of this football game tonight.
Despite some key injuries on both sides, Denver is the far superior team and will prove that tonight. Look around and shop for a line of -3, but if those are all gobbled up, don’t worry lay the 3.5-4 points with the Broncos. Denver eagerly wants to secure as advantageous of a playoff position as possible, and know beating the Bengals allows for that possibility. Cincinnati is one of the most erratic teams in football and will quickly realize they don’t match-up well with the Broncos, who are now healthy on offense. Look for Denver to control all aspects of the game tonight, en route to a convincing victory.
PICK = Broncos -3.5 (-115)
