Denver Broncos vs Pittsburgh Steelers NFL Pick – Week 5

The NFL is set up with another action packed Sunday of football. Fourteen games will be up on the board throughout October 10. One of these matchups will be between the Denver Broncos and the Pittsburgh Steelers. These two teams have had opposite starts and will look for a pivotal win on Sunday. This game will kick off at around 1:00 PM Eastern time.

Denver has opened up this season with a record of 3-1, which has them tied for the top spot in the AFC West. The Broncos are coming off their first loss of the season though against the Baltimore Ravens. Denver was not able to get much going on offense in that one and ended up losing 23-7. The Broncos will look to bounce back with a win in Pittsburgh.

The Steelers have posted a record of 1-3 to start out this season, which has them in last place of the AFC North. Pittsburgh faced off against the Green Bay Packers last week. Aaron Rodgers had a rushing touchdown and two passing touchdowns as the Packers earned a 27-17 win at home. The Steelers will look to bounce back at home though as they try to end this three game losing skid.

These two teams have opened up this season on opposite parts of the standings. The Broncos have a surprising 3-1 record, but they have yet to knock off an impressive opponent. Denver will have a bit of a test this weekend as they are on the road. Pittsburgh will look to come out hungry as they try to avoid a disastrous start in a competitive AFC North division.

Broncos vs. Steelers NFL Game Preview

The Broncos and the Steelers last met up in Week 2 of the 2020 NFL Season. Jeff Driskel had two passing touchdowns on the afternoon, but it was not enough. Ben Roethlisberger tossed two passing touchdowns and James Conner had a rushing touchdown. Pittsburgh was able to hold on for a 26-21 win at home in this one.

These two teams have met up 33 times throughout their histories. Denver leads the all-time series with a record of 20-12-1 in those matchups. The Broncos have won two of their last three meetings against Pittsburgh as well. The Steelers will look to repeat their success from last season though as they host Denver early in this season.

Pittsburgh remains very similar to last season entering play in this one. The Broncos are looking healthier on the defensive side though and will have a different QB under center. Teddy Bridgewater or Drew Lock will get the nod for Denver depending on if Bridgewater is cleared to play. The Steelers will look for Roethlisberger to step up after a rough start to the season.

The spread for this game makes sense in an odd way. The Broncos have the better record, but have not had an impressive win yet this season. Pittsburgh has struggled to get going this season, but are at home in this one. This game feels like it could go either way.

Free Bet and Game Prediction: Pittsburgh Steelers pk (-115)

These two teams have had surprising starts to the season and it should lead to a solid game in Week 5. The Broncos have jumped out to a strong start, but I think they will have a tough matchup against Pittsburgh in this one. The Steelers have had a rough start, but their defense is still strong and I think they can get their offense going.

Ben Roethlisberger will likely get the start for Pittsburgh in Week 5. Roethlisberger has tossed for 1033 yards, four touchdowns and four interceptions. On the other side, either Bridgewater or Lock could get the start. Bridgewater has thrown for 892 yards and five touchdowns this season. Lock has passed for 113 yards and an interception after stepping in during Week 4’s loss.

These two teams have some bumps in their offenses, but have strong defenses. I think that Pittsburgh still has the better overall offense though. I think that Roethlisberger will pick up his play entering Week 5. If the Steelers can add some run game, I think they can win this one. As a very slight favorite at home, I really like the value on Pittsburgh.
