The Superdome will be loud as always when the Browns pay a visit trying to get a win against the New Orleans Saints. The Browns have new hope and that hope lies on the future of the team Rookie QB Colt McCoy who is in line for his second career start this Sunday. Colt McCoy has said several times Drew Brees is his idle and he will have an Opportunity to get a win against him. The Browns have a great running game and that will have to be a catalyst if they have a glimmer of hope of winning the game. As for the Saints they already know what they need to do and that’s win, the Falcons are giving them a run for their money and it looks to be a tight race all season. The Browns don’t have much in terms of playoff hope this season, but are trying to see what they can build on for the future. Game set to start at 1:00 PM EST.

The Browns want to win and they gave the Steelers a game last week for a little bit and Colt McCoy didn’t look terrible in his debut. Now he takes on the Saints and that’s a new kind of beast. The Browns have a pretty good RB and he is going to have to soften up the Defense of the Saints so that McCoy can make some throws or else they will just key in on McCoy and that’s not what you want as a rookie. I think there will be a chance to beat man coverage especially since the Saints love to blitz. If Colt makes good decisions and doesn’t turn the ball over he gives his team a chance and a chance is all you can really ask for out of your young QB. On Defense blitzing will be key, but Brees will make you pay if you don’t disguise it, so they must stay disciplined and be smart about what they are doing. There will be chances in this game to make plays on Offense and Defense, but the Browns players are going to have to step up at times. Matt Roth arguably the best defensive player will need to wreck havoc in the Saints backfield early and often.
The Saints will love playing this game at home especially since they are clearly better on paper, however overconfidence is something they must be careful of in this game. The Browns Defense doesn’t allow teams to score an abundance of points against them, but as good as the Saints are you figure they are going to get at least a couple touchdowns. The passing game could cause problems for the Browns because Eric Wright seems to get beat on a touchdown reception every week and you have to believe the Saints will target him early and often, Brees is one of those Quarterbacks that will make you pay for your mistakes and Chris Ivory seems to have some potential a RB so the Browns can’t overlook what he may bring to the table. Brees has got to be licking his chops for getting a chance to go against a porous Defense like this, but the Saints do often play down to the level of their competition and if they do beware.

Browns vs Saints Prediction for Week Seven Betting:
Game Total (Top Play): The point total on this game is not as high as one would expect the line to be considering the Super Bowl Champions taking on the lowly Cleveland Browns, but this one could possibly surprise you. The Browns have Colt McCoy at QB now and Peyton Hillis is a pretty good RB, better than most people thought that’s for sure and he is capable of carrying the load. The Saints are going to score that much is known, but the Browns will surprise you and I think the Rookie QB will have a lot to do with it. I don’t think the game total is high enough in a game that will most likely not be decided till the 4th quarter. The Browns as an underdog by 10 or more points are 2-0 in the Over this season and I don’t expect it to end here.
Spread Prediction: I think it would be an understatement to say the Saints haven’t been the same high scoring Offense from last season and they are still trying to find their way. The Browns are 1-1 in games in which they are an underdog by 10 or more points. The Saints weren’t able to beat a Cardinals team with Max Hall at QB and granted that was on the road, everybody knows the Saints are the more talented team. I think there will be some room in the running game and Hillis could run wild against them. The Browns Defense hasn’t been as bad as people think in terms of giving up points because they are about middle of the pack. I think the game will be close and the Browns may even be able to pull out the Upset, but I definitely think it will be a lot closer than 13 points.
