The NFL is set up with another great week of action on Sunday. Twelve games are up on the board throughout Sunday afternoon. One of these games will be between the Cleveland Browns and the Tennessee Titans. These two teams have both earned strong records to open up this season. This game will kick off at around 1:00 PM Eastern time on December 6.
Cleveland has earned a record of 8-3 throughout this season, which has them sitting in second place in the AFC North division. The Browns have been hot coming out of their bye week, winning three games in a row. Cleveland has not dominated in any of those wins though, despite all three teams having a losing record. The Browns will look to prove themselves with a big win in this one on Sunday.
The Titans have put up a record of 8-3 as well so far this season, which has them in the top spot of the AFC South. Tennessee has won back to back games after losing three of four. The Titans are looking to keep the top spot in the division as the Indianapolis Colts are right behind them. Tennessee will look to dominate the Browns to keep their winning streak going.
These two teams have both earned impressive records to this point in this season. Both teams will look to come out strong on Sunday as they look to earn a big win. The Browns have not proved much this season, only winning one game against a team with a winning record. Cleveland will look to earn a big win on the road in this one to prove their legitimacy as a playoff contender.
The Browns met up with the Jacksonville Jaguars last week. Mike Glennon had two passing touchdowns, while James Robinson ran in another touchdown. Baker Mayfield had two touchdowns of his own, while Nick Chubb iced the game with a rushing touchdown. Cody Parkey went 2-2 on field goal attempts, which helped give Cleveland a 27-25 win in Week 12.
Tennessee faced off against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 12. Philip Rivers had two passing touchdowns, while Jacoby Brissett had two rushing touchdowns. Derrick Henry had three rushing touchdowns, while Ryan Tannehill had a passing and a rushing touchdown. A.J. Brown had a receiving touchdown and a kick return touchdown to help lead the Titans to a dominant 45-26 win on the road.
These two teams are coming off wins in Week 12, but it was the Titans that was much more impressive. Tennessee dominated the Colts from the start, while the Browns allowed the Jaguars to hang around. Cleveland was able to pull off the win in the end, which is all that matters though. The Browns will need a more complete performance in this one if they want to knock off the Titans on the road.
Baker Mayfield is the starting Quarterback for the Browns this season. Mayfield has had a solid season so far. He has thrown for 2108 yards, 17 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. Last week Mayfield went 19-29 for 258 yards and 2 touchdowns in the winning effort. Cleveland will need Mayfield to put up another strong performance like this one if they want a chance to beat Tennessee.
Ryan Tannehill is starting under center for the Titans this season. Tannehill has put up really strong numbers to this point in the season. He has thrown for 2608 yards, 23 touchdowns and 4 interceptions on the season. He went 13-22 for 221 yards and a touchdown throughout last week’s matchup against the Colts. He rushed for another touchdown as well.
These two Quarterbacks have had solid seasons to this point, which should lead to a good matchup on Sunday afternoon. Tannehill has been slightly better this season, but it will come down to which running game can take the pressure off their quarterback. Henry has done really well this season, while Chubb and Hunt make a dangerous duo for the Browns.
Cleveland’s offense has been solid throughout this season. The Browns have been able to score 265 points and gain 3913 yards of offense, which are both 18th in the NFL this season. Cleveland’s defense has held opposing teams to 286 points, which is 21st in the league. The Browns have also given up 3904 yards, which is 17th in the NFL.
The Titans have been lethal on offense throughout this campaign. Tennessee has been able to put up 324 points this season, which is 5th in the league. The Titans have gained 4243 yards of offense, which is 8th in the NFL. Tennessee’s defense has struggled though. The Titans have given up 285 points and 4225 yards to opponents, which is 20th and 25th in the league.
Tennessee has been the better team on offense this season, but neither team has been great on defense. The Browns and the Titans have both given up about the same number of yards as they have gained. Both defenses will need to step up throughout Sunday’s game. If the Titans offense can carry over momentum from last week’s win, it might be too much for the Browns to keep up with.
These two teams have dominated throughout the season and will both look to earn a big win in this one. The Titans have been the better team in my opinion this season, while Cleveland has not proven as much. I believe that Tennessee will come out strong after that dominant divisional win in Week 12 and it will be too much for the Browns.
BetOnline has the Titans listed as a -5 ½ against the spread on Sunday. This gives a solid edge to Tennessee in Week 13. I agree with this line as the Titans have impressed me more this season and are at home. I believe Tennessee will come out strong in this one and it will be too much for the Browns. If the Titans can slow down Cleveland’s offense, I think they will cover this line.
