Eagles vs. Cardinals Pick:

It is remarkable that Arizona enters this contest with a 2-2 record given how mediocre they have been so far. Their offense is woeful, led by a brutal offensive line that hasn’t given Carson Palmer all that much time and/or space in the pocket to operate. This O-Line will struggle mightily at trying to rein in this Eagles’ defensive front. Even without Fletcher Cox, they should wreak havoc and make things very difficult on the veteran QB Carson Palmer.

It hasn’t helped at all for the Cards to have David Johnson out. With the talented back sidelined with an injury, teams aren’t respecting Arizona’s running game at all, and are just sitting back defending against the pass. Expect Philly to do exactly that against Arizona on Sunday, and look for the talented Patrick Robinson to do a stellar job defending the Cards’ only aerial threat Larry Fitzgerald. It’s tough to envision Arizona moving the chains with regularity on Sunday.

On the other side of the ball – the Eagles have very little problems with their protection, and that is one of the main reasons why Carson Wentz is off to a stellar start this season. Jason Peters and Lane Johnson provide exceptional blocking and look for them to easily handle the threat of Chandler Jones on Sunday. Even though Patrick Peterson will likely bottle up Alshon Jeffery, the key to the Eagles’ success on offense this year has been spreading the football. Zach Ertz should be in for a huge game at the tight end position, battling a weak linebacking corps of Arizona.

This is a tale of two teams trending in vastly different directions. Arizona is nowhere near as good as many had them pegged – and injuries haven’t helped. Meanwhile, Philadelphia is a lot better than many realize and frankly, this number should be even higher. Arizona has done nothing to instill any sort of confidence this season, and could easily be 0-4 this season. Not to mention the fact they have an early East Coast start time in this contest as well. Look for the Eagles to make yet another statement and rout Arizona to kick off Week 5.

PICK = Eagles -6.5 (-110)
