The Arizona Cardinals are trying to make believers out of everybody. They are now 11-2 coming off ten days rest following their latest win against the Minnesota Vikings. The Cards have more on their list of goals, as they hope to reach the Super Bowl in 2016 for the first time since Kurt Warner brought them there against the Steelers. The Cardinals were an inch away from winning that one, after Santonio Holmes made one of the most memorable catches in NFL history. So it hasn’t been that long since the Cardinals were playing this well. It is the first time that Carson Palmer has been playing this well in his career, though. Palmer is one of the exceptions in the Heisman Trophy curse, as he has carved out a good career in the NFL. After time in Cincinnati and Oakland, Palmer is playing some of the best football of his career right now with the Cardinals. It looks liked after struggling as a Raider that his career was going to be over. However, Palmer actually got better from there, even surpassing his time with the Bengals. He was playing great before an injury sent him to the IR. He has picked right off where he left off to produce for the Cards.
Even with a record of 11-2, the Cardinals are being overlooked as we approach the postseason. There are some that think the Cards are going to be good enough to win the whole thing, though. Considering the way they have been playing this season, there isn’t any reason to believe why not. They get the spotlight on SNF again this week. The Cardinals are on a seven game winning streak, with their last loss coming against the Steelers on October 18th. Needless to say the Cardinals are on a roll. And for the Eagles, they are contending for a division championship in the NFC East. As you are already aware, the NFC East is wide open for any one of the below .500 teams to win it. Are the Eagles going to look like a team that wants it tonight? Or are they going to make the division look like even bigger jokes this weekend? The Eagles can make it three in a row on Sunday night, we’ll see if they can make it happen.

Cardinals vs. Eagles Pick:
The Eagles have won two straight games, but they need to keep that up. There is no time for them to get complacent. There are plenty of people that believe they are the team to beat in the NFC East, and I guess if you are looking at the last two weeks they would be correct. But I worry if the Eagles can be clutch when it is necessary. Chip Kelly and Sam Bradford do not make me feel good about that. Despite the last two weeks, Kelly is still being looked at with a critical eye. In any case, he was able to beat the Bills and send LeSean McCoy into a tizzy as a result. The Eagles see a big increase in talent this week, as the Cards come to town. The Cardinals are 1st in the NFL with 417.5 yards per game. They are also scoring 31.2 points a game.
Since starting their winning streak up seven games ago, the Cardinals have allowed only 19.5 points per game, so the defense has been holding up as well. But the true success of this team has been the offense and Carson Palmer. Palmer has thrown for 31 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. The Eagles are 24th against the pass. Do I sense a mismatch there? Yes I do. Do I sense that Chip Kelly’s ability to win a big game will be questioned following this one? Again, yes I do. With that said, it’s hard to go against the Cardinals in this spot. I see them taking a 6 or 7 point victory to extend the streak to eight wins in a row.
