Arizona Cardinals vs Los Angeles Rams NFL Pick – Week 4

The NFL is set up with another great slate of football action on October 3. Fourteen games are up on the board throughout Sunday. One of these matchups will be between the Arizona Cardinals and the Los Angeles Rams. These two teams have been solid throughout this season and will look for a big win in this one. This game will kick off at around 4:05 PM Eastern time.

Arizona has earned a record of 3-0 to start out this season, which has them tied for the top spot in the NFC West. The Cardinals are coming off a big win against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Arizona ended up down early in that game, but were able to bounce back late. The Cardinals scored 21 unanswered points as they earned a 31-19 win.

The Rams have put up a record of 3-0 so far this season, which has them also tied for the top spot in the NFC West. Los Angeles was able to earn a huge win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Matthew Stafford tossed four touchdown passes, two of them to Cooper Kupp. The Rams were able to hold on for a big 34-24 win.

These two teams have had perfect starts to the season and will look to keep it going in Week 4. The Cardinals had a bit closer of a game than they would have liked against Jacksonville. Los Angeles was able to put up a statement win against the defending Super Bowl Champs in Week 3. If either team can come out quickly in this one, it could be enough for the win.

Cardinals vs. Rams NFL Game Preview

The Cardinals and Rams met up twice throughout last season. Arizona hosted the first game of the season. Los Angeles was able to dominate though, earning a 38-28 win. The second game shifted back to Los Angeles, where the Rams earned an 18-7 win. Los Angeles will look to continue that streak with another big win in this one.

These two teams have met up 85 times throughout their histories. The Rams own the lead on the all-time series, going 45-38-2 against Arizona. Los Angeles has won eight games in a row, all under Sean McVay. The Cardinals will look to break through in this one though as they try to take an early lead on a tight NFC West race.

Arizona does not look too much different, but they have added some big play weapons on both sides of the ball entering this season. The Rams have a big difference under center as Matthew Stafford will play his first game against the Cardinals in a Los Angeles uniform. Kyler Murray has had a strong start to the season and will look to earn his first career win against the Rams.

Opening Odds and Line Movement

The spread for this matchup started out at -5 ½ in favor of the Rams. The line has gone down a bit and is listed at -4 ½ for Los Angeles at home.

The over/ under in this game was listed at 53 ½ points to open up this week. The total has jumped up to 55 points only a couple of days before kickoff. This higher total makes sense with these two offenses.

This spread getting closer to even also makes sense because this is a big rivalry game. Both teams have a lot to prove entering this one and will be looking for a pivotal win.

Free Bet and Game Prediction: Arizona Cardinals +4 ½ (-116)

These two teams have come out strong to open up this season and will look for a huge win in this divisional battle. Los Angeles has been perfect against the Cardinals since Sean McVay took over. Arizona is looking good to open up this season though and will look to bounce back in this one. I expect a tight battle between these two teams on Sunday afternoon.

Matthew Stafford has come out hot in his first few games with the Rams. Stafford has thrown for 942 yards, nine touchdowns and one interception throughout his first three starts. Kyler Murray has passed for 1005 yards, seven touchdowns and four interceptions. Murray has also rushed for 70 yards and three touchdowns this season.

This spread has opened up a little high for a big divisional matchup. I think that this line should be closer to -2 ½ or -3 in favor of the Rams. Instead, Arizona is getting more than a field goal in points, which I think gives them great value. The Cardinals have not been able to beat Sean McVay, but I think they have a great chance to earn a statement win in this one.

The Bet
Arizona Cardinals +4.5
-116
