Los Angeles Chargers vs Miami Dolphins Week 10 Pick – NFL November 15

The NFL is set up with another great week of action on Sunday. Twelve games will be up on the board throughout November 15. One of these games will be between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Miami Dolphins. These two teams have had intriguing seasons as they have been led by their young Quarterbacks. This game will kick off at around 4:05 PM Eastern time on Sunday.

Los Angeles has put up a record of 2-6 on the season, which has them sitting in fourth place of the AFC West. The Chargers have struggled to put wins together, but have been in every game this season. If Los Angeles can find a way to close out in this one, it will give them a great opportunity to knock off an impressive Miami team.

The Dolphins have earned a record of 5-3 throughout this season, which has them in second place of the AFC East division. Miami has won four games in a row and five of their last six. The Dolphins had a tough 0-2 start to the season, but are not climbing the standings. Miami will look to keep the hot streak going with a big victory over Los Angeles in this one.

These two teams have had opposite starts to the season, but the Chargers are much better than their record shows. Los Angeles has lost all their games by one score and will need to find out a way to close this one. Miami’s defense has been doing really well and will need to shut down Justin Herbert to earn win. If the Dolphins defense can step up again though, it could give them enough to earn a win.

Previous Matchups

Los Angeles met up with the Las Vegas Raiders last week. Derek Carr had two touchdown passes, while Devontae Booker and Josh Jacobs both had rushing touchdowns. Justin Herbert had two passing touchdowns, while Kalen Ballage rushed for a touchdown. Los Angeles had a chance to take the lead as time expired, but the Raiders held them off for a 31-26 win.

The Dolphins met up with the Arizona Cardinals last week. Kyler Murray had three passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown for the Cardinals. It was not enough for the win though. Tua Tagovailoa had two passing touchdowns, while Jordan Howard rushed for a touchdown. Shaq Lawson returned a fumble for a touchdown to help give the Dolphins a nice 34-31 win on the road.

These two teams are coming off tight matchups in their last one. Miami was able to earn a big win against Arizona, while the Chargers fell up short against the Raiders. I expect both teams to try and come out quickly in this one as they look to earn a much needed win. These two rookie Quarterbacks will look to outduel each other in what should be a great Week 10 matchup.

Quarterback Comparison

Justin Herbert has taken over as the starting Quarterback for the Chargers this season. Herbert has done great taking over the starting role. He has thrown for 2146 yards, 17 touchdowns and 5 interceptions on the season. Herbert has also rushed for 166 yards and 2 touchdowns. Last week, Herbert went 28-42 for 326 yards and 2 touchdowns. Los Angeles will need him to continue to play well for them.

Tua Tagovailoa has taken over the starting role at Quarterback after the bye week. Tagovailoa has thrown for 350 yards and 3 touchdowns so far this season. He went 20-28 for 248 yards and 2 touchdowns in last week’s win over the Cardinals. The Dolphins will look for him to put up similar numbers in this one against the Chargers.

These two young Quarterbacks have shined since taking over the starting role. Herbert has done much better, but has been playing more games. Tagovailoa has not thrown an interception this season and will need to avoid turning the ball over to Los Angeles. If the Chargers can make him uncomfortable and make him make some mistakes, it could help give them the victory.

Offense vs Defense

The Chargers offense has been clicking so far this season. Los Angeles has been able to score 205 points, which is 17th in the NFL. The Chargers have also gained around 3360 yards of offense, which is 2nd best in the league. Los Angeles has held opposing teams to 216 points and 2868 yards of offense, which is 21st and 14th in the NFL this season.

Miami’s offense has been solid so far this season. The Dolphins have been able to put up 222 points and gain 2583 yards, which is 9th and 28th in the NFL. Miami’s defense has done a great job of not allowing a lot of points either. The Dolphins have given up 161 points, which is 4th best in the league. Miami has allowed 3074 yards to their opponents, which is 22nd in the league.

The Dolphins have been able to put up points and limit their opponents, but have not gained a lot of yards. Miami has also given up a lot yard to opposing teams. That could be an issue going up against the second best offense in yards gained this season. If the Chargers can drive the ball up and down the field, it could give them a very good chance to earn a win on Sunday afternoon.

Pick Overview

Los Angeles has put up a tough record this season, but they are much better than that record implies. The Chargers have a chance to stop Miami’s winning streak on Sunday afternoon, which I think they have a good chance to do. Herbert have proven consistency and they are going up against a defense that gives up a lot of yards. If Los Angeles can slow down Tagovailoa in this one, it should be enough to earn the win.

BetOnline has Miami listed as a -119 against the money line in this one. This gives a solid edge to the Dolphins on Sunday afternoon. I believe that the Chargers are going to come out with some anger in this one as they have been so close in so many games. I believe the Dolphins are a solid team, but this winning streak will not continue on much longer. I am taking Los Angeles to earn an upset on Sunday.
