Two very offensive teams, yet two very different teams will square off Sunday in the late afternoon as Philip Rivers brings his San Diego Chargers into Lambeau Field to do battle with the red-hot Green Bay Packers. The Chargers are fresh off a very disappointing loss on Monday Night Football to a weakened Steelers squad. San Diego gave little protection to Rivers, and they simply couldn’t get any stops at all on defense. If that prevails again on Sunday, it’ll be another long day for that organization as Aaron Rodgers and his Packers again look like the cream of the crop in the NFC. Rodgers is coming off on of his worst games ever in the NFL, and even though his team enters Week 6 with a perfect 5-0 record, you can bet he will be ready to redeem himself in a big way this week. Read on below for a full game prediction and analysis for this Chargers/Packers Week 6 tilt!

Chargers vs. Packers Pick:
Last week, for the first time since late in the 2012 season, Aaron Rodgers threw an interception at home. And then minutes after that, he threw yet another one on a pretty brutal pass. Despite these errors, the Packers still cruised, but you can bet Rodgers and his offense will be looking for redemption on Sunday against a porous San Diego defense. Expect a big bounceback game from one of the best quarterbacks in football. San Diego’s secondary has been brutal this season, and fresh off getting torched Monday night, Sunday afternoon vs. the Packers will not be any easier. Even against the run, this Chargers team is brutal. As witnessed on Monday night, the Chargers simply cannot get stops when it matters the most. They’ve given up 100+ rushing yards to their past four opponents, and look for a big outing from Eddie Lacy. The Packers could be pushing for 40 points in this one.
For San Diego, it was a tale of two games Monday night, culminating in a crushing defeat. They really should have won that game, as their offense looked great at times, but was ultimately failed by a leaky O-line. Green Bay puts an amazing amount of pressure on opposing quarterbacks so you can bet this week will be no different. San Diego needs to protect Rivers or else it could be a very long game for him as Green Bay enters ranking 2nd in the NFL in sacks.
The Chargers are really going to struggle to move the chains against an improved Packers defense on short rest. Melvin Gordon is ineffective at running the ball and Green Bay will be a motivated group on offense following last week’s underwhelming showing. This is the best team in football at home, taking on a group that just lost a crushing game against the Steelers at home. San Diego is still banged up on the O-Line, and Rivers has to be feeling helpless at times in the pocket. With the Packers heading into their bye week, expect them to go into it with a bang, in a romp of San Diego. Packers will roll by double digits in a high-scoring affair.
PICK = Packers -10 (-115)
