A hugely important divisional showdown will unfold during the NFL’s Week 7 slate as the high-octane Cincinnati Bengals will take on the defensively solid Baltimore Ravens in a key battle.
While the Ravens enter at 5-1 and sit atop the division, Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals are hot on their tails. On the backs of a solid offensive attack, Cincy currently sits at a 4-2 record, and have proven they can hang with any team given the dominance of their offense.
Cincinnati has never fared all that well against the mobility of Lamar Jackson, but given Baltimore’s injuries at running back – it may help the Bengals here in Week 7.
Baltimore enters having become healthier on defense, and with Jackson re-entering his MVP-form, the Ravens are again thinking of a deep post-season run. This remains a veteran-laden squad, and one that knows the magnitude of Sunday’s contest.
This should definitely serve as one of the marquee matchups in the early window of action, and we have got all of your betting needs covered. Cincinnati Bengals vs. Baltimore Ravens Prediction
For the first time in a long while, you have to like Cincinnati’s chances to keep this match-up interesting. Their defense is much improved, specifically at the linebacker position. What that will allow on Sunday, is having someone keep a very close eye on Lamar Jackson, specifically on his runs. Expect that player to be Bengals’ LB Logan WIlson. The talented 2020 draftee has proven his worth already in just one season in the NFL, and has the pace and strength to keep Jackson contained.
That said, stopping this Ravens’ attack is much easier said than done. Lamar Jackson has been thriving with his legs, but the Baltimore aerial game has also been impressive through six weeks. Cincinnati does have holes in their secondary, and Baltimore’s pass catchers remain unreliable – but this is certainly a matchup area worth watching. Look for Cincinnati to negate Jackson’s time in the pocket by bringing all kinds of pressure. Ronnie Stanley has also been ruled out for the year, which really hurts Baltimore’s blocking presence.
On the other side of the ball, this might be a tough matchup for Joe Burrow – but he’s proven time and time again he can rise to the occasion. Despite the fact that Baltimore loves to blitz and bring pressure, Burrow has actually proven that he does quite well with pressure in his face. He’s second in league passer rating against it this season, and given his talented receiving corps – holes can be found in Baltimore’s banged-up backfield.
Joe Mixon and Chris Evans will be reliable hand-off options as running backs for this Cincy offense as well. The Bengals’ attack has been better than expected this season, and should be able to keep the chains moving as they match up well vs. Baltimore’s defense.
In a statement, Bengals QB Joe Burrow said this re: facing the Ravens after a rough outing in '20: "Last year’s game was a tough experience that you’re able to take a lot from. They’re a tough physical team and you have to match that if you want to have a chance to beat them.”

Bengals vs. Ravens Trends To Know:
- Bengals are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
- Bengals are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.
- Ravens are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a ATS win.
- Ravens are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.
There seems to be a changing of the guard in the AFC North, and Joe Burrow and his high-octane Bengals attack are knocking on the door to the post-season. They’re healthy and match-up quite well vs. Baltimore, and have a chance to make a real statement performance here in Week 7. I’d expect Jackson to face a ton of pressure with injuries along his offensive line, and that will lead to the Bengals hanging around and having a shot at the upset victory.
