The Jacksonville Jaguars were able to get some fans out last week to EverBank Field last week not due to the fact that their “beloved” Jaguars were playing at home, but rather Michael Vick was in town, this week that fans will be lining up to watch Peyton Manning. The Skinny on this game is the Colts score points at will and the Jaguars concede points at a staggering rate. The (2-1) Indianapolis Colts gallop their way into Jacksonville for a late afternoon tilt with the disappointing (1-2) Jacksonville Jaguars, kickoff slated for 4:05 PM EST. In what will be the defining game for the Jaguars this season, they not only need a win to save their season but also save their ever weakening fan base. In what surely will be a heated tilt, the Jaguars will try to answer Peyton Mannings offensive attack and pull out a win.
The Colts have shaken off their opening week stunning loss to the Texans and have rattled off two straight impressive wins. Last week they traveled to the Mile High city and provided a valiant effort in beating the Broncos, a game that was positive on both sides of the ball. The Indianapolis Colts offense is its typical potent self again this season. Peyton Manning has amassed 1013 yards, nine touchdowns and zero interceptions and new toy receiver Austin Collie is near the top of the league with 27 receptions, 359 yards and four touchdowns. Dallas Clark and Reggie Wayne continue to be an absolute nightmare to cover and the running game actually showed signs of life in one of the three games played so far. It will likely be the Colts passing game on display on Sunday against the Jags 29th ranked passing offense however. The running game fell back to earth last week and followed up a 160-yard game with just 40 yards on 22 carries. The Jaguars always play the Colts tough, but Indianapolis is far too superior not too return home from Florida with three wins on the season.
The Jaguars limp into this contest after an embarrassing home beating at the mercy of the Philadelphia Eagles. Michael Vick ran and threw wild against the Jaguars defense, a defense that was once touted as a fierce and ball hawking bunch. At the end of the day, the Jaguars hopes are once again going to rest on QB David Garrard. Garrard went toe to toe with Manning for 3.5 quarters, before ultimately letting the team down during last year’s Thursday Night meeting. David is going to have to shake off two weeks of absolutely abysmal play in order for the Jaguars to have any chance at a win. The Texans showed that the Colts could be run on just as easily as ever, and I believe Maurice Jones-Drew will have a solid game regardless of Garrard’s performance. However, the Texans also had the threat of Matt Schaub throwing to keep the Colts from cheating. Garrard will have to keep the Colts defenders honest if the Jaguars want to run the ball.

Colts vs Jaguars Week 4 Picks:
Game Total Prediction (TOP PICK) – Both teams boast offensive firepower, yes even the Jaguars can rack up the points when there offense is clicking. Any game that has the Colts on one sideline sways the scales on the OVER/UNDER to OVER, hands down. The total has gone OVER in 7 of Indianapolis’s last 10 games. For Jacksonville, RB Maurice Jones Drew is a game breaker and when he is on defenses need to watch out. Whenever these teams hook up there is offensive magic, case in point, 3 of the last 4 games have reached the OVER. I like the odds of Peyton Manning going up against a very weak and suspect defense in the Jaguars, I look for him to have a very good day through the air. The total has gone OVER in 4 of Indianapolis’s last 5 games when playing on the road against Jacksonville, as well as the total has gone OVER in 4 of Indianapolis’s last 5 games on the road. I recommend you consider the OVER in this marquee afternoon match up.
Spread Prediction – To say it bluntly, the Jaguars can’t stop anything. They have been absolutely embarrassed the last couple of weeks defensively to the likes of San Diego and Philadelphia and now enter into this Sundays contest against the offensive powerhouse in the Colts. Jacksonville is 1-6 ATS in its last 7 games and shows no signs of even having a remote possibility of keeping up with the Colts this Sunday. QB David Garrard might be the most overrated quarterback in the league and many are catching on now after his last two outings. Even worse, the Jaguars are absolutely abysmal at home, they are 4-14 ATS in their last 18 games at EverBank Field. We will take a look at the Colts and the points in this one. Cheers!
