The New Meadowlands will be home to Sunday’s battle of NFC East teams going in opposite directions. The New York Giants will host the Dallas Cowboys at 4:15 PM EST. New York comes into the game with an NFC-best 6-2 record (5-3 ATS), while Dallas has struggled to a 1-7 record (1-7 ATS).
What was supposed to be a season where Dallas contended for the Super Bowl, has instead become an absolute nightmare as the team has started off 1-7. They have lost quarterback Tony Romo for the season and just fired head coach Wade Phillips this week. This comes on the heels of last week’s embarrassing 45-7 loss in Green Bay. It was the third straight week that the defense gave up 35 or more points. On the season, Dallas is averaging 29 points per game allowed, which is 31st in the NFL. The offense has remained in the top 10 in yards, at 359.2 per game, thanks mostly to the passing attack. However, the run game is second from last in the league this season, averaging just 75.6 yards per game.

New York, on the other hand, is one of the hottest teams in the league. They have won 5 straight games and last lost in September. The team is leading the rugged NFC East and seem poised to make a run at the Super Bowl this season. The team is doing it on both sides of the ball. On offense, they are putting up over 400 yards per game, which is good for 2nd in the NFL. Meanwhile, the G-Men feature the number one ranked defense in yards allowed at just 250.6 yards per game. Quarterback Eli Manning has thrown for over 2000 yards and 17 touchdowns with 11 interceptions. Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks has had a breakout season so far, with 9 touchdown catches in 8 games to start the season.

Cowboys vs. Giants Betting Predictions:
Game Total Prediction (TOP PLAY) – The Giants are putting up 27 points per game this season and have been white hot lately. Eli Manning is in stride with receiver Hakeem Nicks and they are getting solid production from Ahmad Bradshaw on the ground as well. The defense has been very solid this year but gave up 35 to Dallas the last time the teams met. New head coach Jason Garrett may have a few new wrinkles to get the stale offense moving for the Cowboys. The total has gone over in Dallas’ last 5 games and in the Giants’ last 7 against divisional opponents.
Spread Prediction – This is a battle of two teams that are on the opposite end of the spectrum. The Giants have visions of hoisting the Lombardi Trophy at season’s end, while Dallas may be on the clock to draft first when the season ends. It will likely take Jason Garrett awhile to make his mark on the team, so look for the suffering in Big D to continue in a big way. The G-Men have covered in 4 of their last 5.
