How much fun is it watching the Cowboys and Vikings this year? Well if you’re a fan of ANY team other than Dallas or Minnesota, it’s a lot of fun. They both stink. The Vikings offense is completely out of sync, and the Cowboys execution is worse than a blind militant’s. Still, someone has to win this week (at least McNabb thinks so), and one team will be 1-4 by Sunday’s end.
The Vikings acquired Randy Moss via trade in hopes of sparking their offense and replacing the void that appeared when they placed Sidney Rice on IR. Favre’s chemistry with his receivers hasn’t been there, but in the long run Moss’s presence will bring the Viking’s passing game back into the top 10. Perhaps the biggest benefactor of the Moss deal is Percy Harvin, who can now move back to the slot position. A faster, more athletic Wes Welker, look for Harvin’s numbers to go way up, and look for Moss to attract most of the attention on the outside.

The Cowboys passing game has been excellent, but because of an invisible run game, costly mistakes and poor point production, Dallas 1-3. Their loss last week at home to the Titans was inexcusable. They had the game in their hands, but thanks to a stupid penalty for celebrating a TD, the Titans got a juicy return and unleashed Chris Johnson for his second TD of the day. The Cowboys are in the position they’re in because of bad coaching and bad leadership. Someone needs to step up and lead this team, and Romo doesn’t look like he wants to be that guy.

Cowboys vs. Vikings Prediction for Week 6 Betting:
Spread Prediction (Top Play): Once again, the Cowboys have their backs against the wall. In week 3 they needed to go into Houston and beat the Texans, a team that at the time were in the top 3 in the league. They convincingly proved to everyone that they shouldn’t be counted out, just yet. They slipped up majorly last week with a loss, but now they can stay in the playoff hunt with a win versus a Vikings team that is clutching for straws.
Favre’s off field issues have finally caught up to him. Whether the Vikings want to admit it or not, the ‘Sexting’ incident played a role in the game against the Jets last week. Favre looked distracted, fumbling the ball twice on hand offs to Adrian Peterson. We saw it with Tiger Woods, and now we’re seeing it with Favre; family issues affect athletes, no matter how mentally strong they are, and the Vikings as a team are lost if they don’t have the focus of their leader.
Dallas have been poor in execution, but they rank 3rd in passing yards and 2nd in total offensive yards. The Cowboys have already proved they can go into a hostile environment and win when they need to, but the Vikings haven’t showed me anything other than they can beat the Lions, at home. Take the Cowboys in this one, and take the points just for good measure.
Game Total Prediction: The Vikings’ short week won’t help them get their offense back in sync, and neither will Favre being limited in practice because of his elbow. The Cowboys can move the ball, and the loss of CB Cedric Griffin is a huge blow to the Vikings secondary. All indications point to the Under in this game. The Under is 5-1 in their last 6 meetings and 4-1 in their last 5 in Minnesota.
