Nashville will be rocking on Sunday as the Tennessee Titans play host to the Philadelphia Eagles in a big intra-conference matchup. The Titans come into this game at 4-2 (4-2 ATS), while the Eagles are also 4-2 (3-3 ATS). On paper, this may be one of the best matchups in Week 7. Kickoff is set for 1 PM EST.
Philadelphia has had a game of QB carousel going on so far this season. After dealing Donovan McNabb in the offseason and anointing Kevin Kolb as the starter, the Eagles watched Kolb go down with injury in Week 1. He was replaced by Michael Vick who was playing MVP-like football before becoming injured as well. Kolb came back in and has played excellent, giving head coach Andy Reid a good problem. The Eagles boast the 4th best offense in the NFL in yards per game, with 380.3 per contest. The team is also hot right now, having won 4 of their last 5 games, after dropping their opener to Green Bay.

Tennessee enters the game having won 2 straight, including a 30-3 shellacking of division-rival Jacksonville on Monday night. The Titans stifled the Jaguars offense in the game and got over 100 yards on the ground from Chris Johnson. Despite struggling to move the ball on offense this season, the Titans are 3rd in the NFL, averaging 27 points per game. This is in large part to the 4th ranked rushing offense that is putting up over 140 yards on the ground per week. Running back Chris Johnson is having another solid season with 596 yards rushing and 7 touchdowns. The Titans have also done a fantastic job of keeping opponents off of the scoreboard as they are allowing just 16.3 points per game, which is 4th in the league. The biggest concern for Tennessee is that starting QB Vince Young is questionable with a knee injury sustained in Monday night’s win.

Eagles vs. Titans Prediction for Week 7:
Spread Prediction (TOP PLAY) – Both of these teams have dealt with adversity and still been impressive in recent weeks. The Eagles have been a perfect 3-0 on the road this season, while Tennessee has been just 1-2 at home. The questionable injury status of QB Vince Young is also a major concern for the Titans. Backup Kerry Collins is serviceable but does not offer nearly the upside of Young. On top of that, the Eagles are 12-4 in their last 16 ATS as a road underdog. Look for them to cover and possibly even sneak out a win in this one.
Game Total Prediction (TOP PLAY) – Both of these teams are in the top 7 in scoring this season and offer a plethora of playmakers on the offensive side of the ball. Chris Johnson is capable of scoring on any touch and the Eagles have LeSean McCoy and Jeremy Maclin to create big plays no matter who the quarterback is who is throwing it to them. The total has gone over in 5 of the Titans’ last 6 at home.
