Week 9 of the NFL wrapped up last night with a very exciting Monday Night’er, as the Steelers move to 6-2 after defeating the Cincinnati Bengals by a score of 27-21. The game went over the posted total of 41 points, and Steelers backers for the most part came out happy, depending on when they bet the game, as it went from 4 points up to 6 points by kickoff. Week 10 of the NFL season promises to provide a lot of excitement, with three solid prime time games. The Ravens are in Atlanta on Thursday night, the Steelers and Pats face each other on Sunday night, and Vick and the Eagles take on McNabb and the Redskins on Monday Night Football. Early Week 10 Betting Lines:
Baltimore Ravens @ Atlanta Falcons (-1) – This Thursday night game sees the Falcons favored by a single point, in what should be a very exciting and close game. Each team is 6-2, with the Falcons 4-0 at home on the year. The Ravens two losses have both come on the road as they have a 2-2 road record. The game total is set at 43 points.
Detroit Lions (-3) @ Buffalo Bills – A showdown between two teams at the bottom of the standings has the Lions as 3 point road favorites in Buffalo. The Lions at 2-6 haven’t played as poorly as their record shows and will be a tough task for the Bills who are 0-8 and looking for their first win of the season in front of their home crowd. Game total is set at 43 points.
New York Jets (-3) @ Cleveland Browns – The 3-5 Browns have been surprising so far this year, playing most teams very tough, including a win over the Pats last weekend. The 6-2 Jets are a top of the AFC and come into the game as 3 point road favorites, with their 4-0 road record. It’s going to be tough to pick a side here with the Browns coming off a big win last weekend. Game total is set at 37.5 points.
Tennessee Titans (-1) @ Miami Dolphins – Yet another road favorite, the Titans come in as single point favorites sporting a 5-3 record and 3-1 road record. The Dolphins are fresh off a loss to the Ravens, and are 0-3 at home this season. The Titans are facing some injury problems coming into this Week 10 game. Will the Dolphins finally be able to pull of a win at home? Total is set at 42.5 in this one.
New England Patriots @ Pittsburgh Steelers (-4.5) – After a Pats loss and a Steelers win in Week 9 both teams come into the game at the top of the AFC with 6-2 records. The Steelers have only played 3 home games coming into Week 10 and have a 2-1 home record, while the Pats are 2-2 on the road. These two teams didn’t see each other last season, but in their last meeting in ’08 Pittsburgh won 33-10 at home. The underdog is 8-2 ATS in their last 10 meetings. Game total is set at 45.
