My Picks:

Matt Barkley (QB), (SF@CHI, $6,000, FPPG: 11.9):

Last week, Matt Barkley came out of nowhere airing it out for 316 PASS YDS and 3 TDS (with 2 INT) on 54 passing attempts and also unfortunately saw 8 of his passes dropped that potentially stopped him from having an even bigger day offensively. His performance drew a lot of attention in the fantasy world and he should be a hot pick this week in many DFS sites since he goes up against a very weak 49ers defense next that may be decent against the pass in terms of how many PASS YDS/G they give up on average, but they’re one of the worst D’s in the NFL this year when it comes to how many PASS TDS/G they give up week in and week out. Barkley is an excellent GPP/tourny play and is a viable option to go with in all other types of leagues as well this week on FanDuel.

Taylor Gabriel (WR), (KC@ATL, $5,700, FPPG: 10.4):

Taylor Gabriel continues to take full advantage of Atlanta’s newfound faith in him in their playbook by putting himself in spots where he can stand out as a legititmate deep threat receiver for his team. In three out of his past four games, he’s averaged 1.3 TDS/G and in his past two contests, he’s averaged 75.5 REC Y/G on only a 2.5 REC/G average. Gabriel faces a Chiefs team next that’s an average team right now in terms of the amount of REC Y/G and REC TDS/G they give up to opposing WR’s, so this should be a doable matchup for the Falcons receiver. This pick is an excellent value play at this moment that should be started in any GPP/tourny on FanDuel later this week.

Malcolm Mitchell (WR), (LA@NE, $5,600, FPPG: 6.2):

Malcolm Mitchell now has three TDS in his last two games, had a season/career-high 7 TAR in Week 12 and had a season/career high 98 REC YDS in Week 11. Now it may be true that it’s tough to know which Pats WR is going to stand out or which one is going to pretty much disappear in any given week, but I like this pick due to the fact that he faces a Rams team next that’s defense may be good against the pass, but their D isn’t immune to deep long bomb passes that reach the end zone at a fairly decent rate. In addition, this pick’s overall value improves considerably in Week 13 if teammates (and starting TE) Rob Gronkowski (back) and (backup TE) Martellus Bennett (ankle) are limited in any way, giving Mitchell added targets. If you’re feeling brave, give this pick who’s my FanDuel NFL Sleeper Picks Bargain Bin Player of the Day a start today in any tourny that catches your eye. After all, he has appealing upside that’s hard to avoid right now.
