FanDuel NFL Week 13 Picks

Hey Guys I’m back again for the weekly edition of the Power Plays. This week we take a look at the Week 13 slate in the NFL. This week will be a bit different as the studs all have great match ups and will surely be highly owned. I love Bell, DJ, AB, OBJ, Brees and Stafford. The plays tonight will be concentrated on tournament targets and players you can fill in around those high priced players. Lets get into the Power Plays!

Quarterbacks

GB – Aaron Rodgers ($ 8500) – The Packers are back at home with a team total of 26, and they still cant run the ball even with the lead. Aaron Rodgers is the leading rusher on the team for the last month of the season. Mr. Relax has been the model of fantasy consistency the past month or so scoring over 23 in his past 6 games with 3 of those scores being 29 + FD points. I like the saving you get on Rodgers this week on FD this week with him the 4th priced QB.

SD – Phillip Rivers ($ 8200) – The Chargers at home this week against a leaky Bucs secondary, with a team total of 26. Rivers has been on fire the last month averaging 21 FD points per game, and throwing 10 TDS in the last 4 games. I think Rivers makes for a great tournament option this week, due to the recency bias the public will stay away from this game. Due to the way the Bucs defense played last week, against the Seahawks. Even with that strong performance they are still allowing over 18 FD PPG to opposing QBs.

Running Backs

DET – Theo Riddick ($ 6500) – I like this play more on DK as always with pass catching backs, but I love the price you get on FD for Riddick. The Lions will have to keep up with the scoring this week and that means they’ll have to throw the ball quite a bit. The Saints this season are giving up 5 catches a game for 53 yards to opposing backfields, along with a total of 24 FD points per game. You want exposure to this game and this is a way to get volume at a cheap price.

SD – Melvin Gordon ($ 8000) – Melvin Gordon dropped a bit of a dud last week with only scoring 10.9 points, but still saw 21 touches last week in a tough match up in Houston. Melvin is back at home in what should be a somewhat high scoring game as both offenses have looked great for the last month. Gordon is the ultimate tournament play at running back this week, due to his mid-high price. He will go overlooked and I don’t think he should.

SF – Carlos Hyde ($ 6700) – Hyde is another one of my favorite backs this week due to his price, contribution in the passing game and overall volume. Hyde has quietly been producing the last month of the season, having scored over 12.5 + FD points in 4 out of his last 6 games. The bears have been some what stout vs the run this year but are missing Trevathon this week. I also Love Jordan Howard this week as another cheap option, but with Hyde’s price and guaranteed volume we’ll look to roster him.

Wide Receivers

TB – Mike Evans ($ 8500) – This is the only play ill provide tonight that will hurt your salary more than relieve it, but Evans is just seeing an insane amount of targets to leave off this list. Evans is still $500 cheaper than OBJ and AB, Evans put up a monster game last week against the highly touted Seahawks secondary scoring 26.4 points, along with burning Sherman for a TD. The chargers are very underrated against RB’s allowing only one 100 yard rusher on the year which means the Bucs will be forced to throw. I expect this game to go over the total of 47.5 points Vegas has set.

NO – Michael Thomas ($ 6900) – I say this now get him while you can on FD, because he is priced entirely too low on FD. The Saints have an outrageous team total of 29, and as we saw last week Thomas is quickly becoming one of Brees favorite targets. Thomas is out snapping Cooks and Snead for the past few weeks, and is producing the way a WR1 should with 5 plus receptions in 6 out of his last 7 games.

GB – Davante Adams ($ 6800) – I love Adams this week as he has shown he can beat a team deep, and no one in the NFL throws a better deep ball than Rodgers. Since week 7 Adams is 3rd in the NFL in targets and 2nd in yards with 585 and is also second in the league in TDS with 5. As long as the packers cant run in the redzone we’ll keep rostering Packers WRs. (I also like a Rodgers – Jordy – Adams – Fuller in game stack)

CHI – Marquess Wilson ($ 4500) – This might be the player we have to roster if we want to roster 2 of the 9K + studs. This is a risky play as there were 3 wide receivers last week on the Bears that saw 9+ targets. But it was clear Barkley targeted Wilson when in the red zone. Wilson saw the most targets with 11 and hauled in 8 of those for 125 yards and a TD, he also dropped another TD.

Tight Ends

KC – Travis Kelce ($ 6300) – Kelce has gone back to back 100 yard games for the first time in his career. He now gets a match-up against the Falcons who have allowed 8 top 10 scoring tight ends this season. I expect Kelce to continue to see the type of workload this week as the Falcons can put up a ton of points and the Chiefs will have to keep up.

Defense

New England Patriots ($ 4600) – The Patriots play much better defense at home this year, and now get a rookie QB coming into Gillette stadium. I think they will be under owned this week and are a mid priced defense at home with the opposing team only having a 15.5 team total.
