FanDuel NFL Week 6 Picks

Hey Guys I’m back again for the weekly edition of the Power Plays. This week we take a look at the Week 6 slate in the NFL. Week 5 was the biggest one so far this NFL season for the Power Plays. We hit big at every position, and multiple players at each position besides Tight End.

Last week Big Ben and Derek Carr posted monster scores for us, especially Big Ben throwing for 4 TD’s. We hit big as well at the running back position with Jordan Howard posting a 16-118 rushing yards, 3-45-1 receiving which was good for 23.8 FD points. Gurley also came through nicely as a lower owned tournament play posting a 16.3 FD point game. The wide receiver position saw 3 of the 4 plays go for 11+ FD points, with Amari Cooper leading the pack. Amari posted a 24.8 FD point performance and if he learned how to drag his toes it could have been a historic day. Brandon Marshall and Jordy Nelson also posted nice scores. Zach Miller hit twice his value which is what we want on FD, it was a rough week for Tight ends not named Gronk, Bennett or Greg Olsen. Let’s keep the good times rolling and get into the week 6 Power Plays

Catch me every Wednesday night between 8-10 PM (EST) on the NFL Fantasy channel for Sirius XM radio.

I will also be writing another article that will be posted on Thursday nights, which will include my favorite value plays for that week.

Quarterbacks

CAR – Cam Newton ($ 8900) – Cam Newton travels to the Coors field of the football world, the superdome. Vegas has set the total at 53, with the Panthers having a team implied total of 28. Last time Cam visited the superdome he posted a monster game scoring 37FD points, with 5 TDs.

SEA – Russell Wilson ($ 8400) – Wilson gets to play against the team who is giving up the most FD points per game to opposing QBs to the tune of 24 + FD points a game. The Seahawks have a team implied total of 26, I expect Russell Wilson to be the focal of the offense against a much improved Atlanta team.

Running Backs

PITT – Leveon Bell ($ 9300) – Every week you want either Antonio Brown or Bell in your line up, both of their salaries are becoming outrageous so we will take the saving where we can. Bell has the highest floor of any player in the NFL, each week you are guaranteed 15 points because he is second on the team in targets behind AB. In his two games since coming back from suspension, he has 17 receptions and 38 carries. The dolphins are giving up over 130 yards per game on the ground.

Tenn – Demarco Murray ($ 8800) – 4 of 5 games with 5+ receptions also has 3 games of 20+ FD points, which makes his floor a little bit higher than Lesean McCoy, who I will have my fair share of ownership to as well. Tenn comes in as a big home favorite, against the Browns who have been giving up over 100 yard P/G, and 23+ points to opposing running backs.

*Tournament Play* HOU – Lamar Miller ($ 7900) – Miller has been one of the most disappointing running backs of the year along with Todd Gurley. Miller gets a great match up at home against the Colts who are ranked 30th in DVOA against the run and are giving up 100 yards and 6 receptions a game to opposing running backs.

*Tournament Play* NO – Mark Ingram ($ 6700) – I think most DFS players will be on the quarter backs and wide receivers in this game, leaving Ingram under owned in a great match up. Ingram has back to back games of 19+ FD points, and scored 17+ in the last match up between these two teams.

Wide Receivers

CAR – Kelvin Benjamin ($ 7800) – Kelvin is the player I’m going to stack with Cam this week. Kelvin has 4TDs in 4 games this year when Cam Newton is the starting QB. This game is the highest total of all the games of this weekend, and you will want your ownership in what could be the shootout of the week.

NO – Willie Snead ($ 7000) – If you’re looking to get an in game stack, my favorite player on the Saints this week along with Mark Ingram is Snead. The Panthers are giving up huge games to opposing wide receivers ranked 22nd in DVOA against the pass. The one game Snead played at home this year he went for 9 – 172 – 1TD.

*Tournament Play* DEN – Emmanuel Sanders ($ 6800) – Has 24 receptions and 3 TDs in his last 3 games, is becoming Siemian’s favorite target. Sanders gets a great match up against the banged up Chargers secondary.

*Tournament Play* HOU – Will Fuller ($ 6900) – Recency bias will have Fullers ownership at the lowest it’s been all year. Brock has targeted Fuller only two times less this year than Hopkins, and I don’t expect that to change anytime soon with Vontae Davis following around Hopkins all game long. Fuller has shown the explosiveness at the WR position and gives you a few opportunities per game at a punt return. Also the Colts have been susceptible to the big play this year.

Tight End

SEA – Jimmy Graham ($ 6900) – My favorite stack with Russell Wilson this week is with Jimmy Graham who has put up back to back 100 yard games. Graham is finally healthy, and may be getting back to his Elite level and is the tallest player the Seahawks have when lining up in the red zone. Atlanta has been getting torched all year by opposing tight ends giving up 5 TDs and 16+ FD points a game.

TENN – Delanie Walker ($ 6700) – Streaming tight ends against the browns has been something that has been working all year, especially the last two weeks. The browns have given up 5 TDs the last two weeks to tight ends. I expect Walker to continue to be Mariota’s favorite red zone target.

Defense

Buffalo Bills ($ 4800) – The Bills have scored in the top 3 in defense 3 weeks in a row with scores of 22, 15, 18. The 49ers while they do play at a faster pace, which typically means a higher scoring game, but their implied team total is only 18.

Tennessee Titans ($ 4700) – Anytime you can play a defense at home against Cody Kessler or Chris Hogan you just do it. Plus I love playing a home team’s running back with their defense, when favored by 7 or more points.
