Hey Guys I’m back again for the weekly edition of the Power Plays. This week we take a look at the Week 9 slate in the NFL. I can’t believe we are officially past the half way point of the NFL season. Last week proved to be an injury riddled week, mixed in with some big plays and a few duds. It started off shaky with Cobb being inactive. The injury bug didn’t stop there it continued with TY Hilton missing a quarter of action and tweaking his hamstring. Spencer Ware fell victim in the same game and missed the entire second half due to a concussion.
Those injuries didn’t stop us from hitting big on a few positions we had a few guys finish in the top 4 in scoring for their respective positions. Aaron Rodgers went ARod on the Falcons to the tune of 4TDs and on the other side of the ball another big play was Davonta Freeman. Freeman found the end zone twice and gave you 20 FD points. The wide receiver was a big miss this weekend for the most part, Marshall, Evans, and Snead really let us down big time. We came through big time on the other side of the ball with the Broncos defense who saved me personally in my cash games. This week we have a few players that are questionable once again in great spots, TY Hilton and Spencer Ware. We will continue to monitor those throughout the week. Let’s get back on the hot streak this week and win some big time money

GB – Aaron Rodgers ($ 9100) – The Packers are in another great spot this week at home in a total of 54 points, and a team implied total of 30.8. Rodgers has thrown for 14 TDs the last 5 games, and will continue to throw the ball inside the red zone. The Colts are allowing 300 yards, 2+ TDs and 20+FD points per game to opposing QBs.
DAL – Dak Prescott ($ 7600) – The Dak makes his first appearance on the Power Plays this year, as the Cowboys travel to play the Browns. The Browns as we know are a funnel defense and with the Vegas total set to 48.5, and the Cowboys implied total of 28 it’s a game we want to target. Dak has provided a nice floor, scoring 17+ FD points in every game since week 2.
*Tournament Target* SF – Colin Kaepernick ($ 7200) – This is strictly a tournament play, and this has to do with the match up and Kaepernick’s legs. Since his return to starting QB Kaepernick has provided us with an 18 point and 15 point performance this year. The Saints are defense that can be targeted and that can turn out to be profitable. I won’t be stacking him with any of his WRs because they’re too volatile.
DAL – Zeke Elliot ($ 9200) – Zeke has been on the most consistent players in the NFL, scoring 16+ FD points in the last 4 games. The Browns have already given up 10TDs and over 1000+ yards to opposing running backs. The Cowboys are 7 point favorites this week, which means there should be plenty of plays drawn up for Zeke in the second half.
DEN – Devontae Booker ($ 7000) – Booker is now the lead guy, and we saw last week he can handle that role and produce. Booker has back to back weeks of 14+FD points, and now gets to face a Raiders team that has been struggling to stop the run all year. The Raiders are giving up 110+ yards on the ground to opposing teams running backs.
KC – Charcandrick West ($ 5600) – This play hinges on the status of Spencer Ware, if he is announced out I’m rolling with West in quite a few of my line ups. West is a duel threat back, and is considered the best pass catching back on the team which is nice with FD and DK being PPR formats. The Chiefs are big home favorites and will be looking to control clock and play safe with Alex Smith already announced out.
ATL – Julio Jones ($ 9000) – Thursday night game! I fully expect Julio to get back on track this week against a Bucs secondary that just got torched by Derek Carr and Amari Cooper. Julio is known to cause major problems for the Bucs scoring a touchdown in the match up earlier this year.
NO – Michael Thomas ($ 5800) – The Saints are playing one of the worst defenses in the NFL in the 49ers. Michael Thomas has been one of the most consistent WRs for the Saints this season, scoring 12+ FD points in 4 of his last 5 games. Vegas has the total set to 52, and the Saints have an implied team total of 28 and I think Thomas size and speed will cause a problem for the 49ers secondary.
CLE – Terrelle Pryor ($ 7000) – Josh McCown is a big time upgrade at QB and his an instant bump to all pass catchers on the Browns. Pryor had instant rapport with McCown converting his 13 targets into 6 catches for 101 yards. I expect the Browns to be playing from behind and needing big plays to stay in this game. The return of Coleman should open the field up a bit more for Pryor and Barnidge who will be a part of the plays later.
*Tournament Target* Minn – Stefon Diggs ($ 6500) – Diggs is a bit of a volatile player in terms of fantasy scoring, but has seen 5+ targets in every game this season. The Vikings are in one of the best spots this week, coming off a bad loss and playing the Lions at home. The Lions are ranked 32 in DVOA.
*Tournament Target* IND – Donte Moncrief ($ 6100) – Moncrief came back last week and didn’t miss a beat, playing over 90% of the snaps. The Colts are playing in what Vegas says should be the highest game total on the slate, but the Packers are very stout against the run. Which means we should see Luck drop back quite a bit and throw the entire game. With TY health uncertain we will roll with Moncrief who saw 10 targets last week and scored a TD.
Minn – Kyle Rudolph ($ 5000) – The Lions are giving up the second most FD points to tight ends, 15+ points per game. The Lions are the only team in the NFL to give up 8 total touchdowns to opposing Tight Ends. I expect the Vikings to get back to whats been working and get Rudolph involved more this week.
CLE – Gary Barnidge ($ 5200) – Last year Barnidge had a break year with McCown, and now McCown is back to starting for the Browns. Barnidge price mixed in with his high floor makes for a great cash game play this week.
Kansas City ($ 5100) – The Chiefs are at home in a great spot this week, welcoming the turnover happy Jaguars. The Chiefs have scored 10+ points in 3 straight games, and get another plus match up at home.
