Qwest Field will host this game as the Giants look to continue their winning streak by beating the Seahawks. The Seahawks are a very good home team and will look to rebound from their embarrassing three point performance against the Raiders. The biggest story coming out of Seattle these days is that Hasselbeck has been ruled out of Sunday’s game with a concussion, which means Charlie Whitehurst will get the start. As for the Giants you’ve got to think that there plan will be to get after the Seahawks new QB as much as possible and given the way that defense has been playing, it wouldn’t surprise me if Whitehurst got hurt during this game. If nothing else it will be interesting to see the Giants defense unleash on a QB getting the first start of his career. Kickoff is at 4:05 EST.
The Giants have a front four that is just incredible and can rush any passer at any given time. The Giants are playing like the best team in the league right now and can continue to make a statement in a game against the Seahawks this week. Eli Manning has been playing terrific football as of late and it is very exciting and Ahmad Bradshaw has really established himself as a great RB and will challenge for the rushing title all season long. Hakeem Nicks has been sensational as well and has clearly emerged as Eli’s go to guy in the offense. On Defense they have been just as great as they are on offense if not even better. Teams are unable to run or pass on the Giants and if they keep playing the way they are they are a threat to go to the Super Bowl. The Giants should have no problem going on the road against this team.
Seattle at home is tough to beat at home and may give the Giants a tougher time than they expect and thus could be a trap game for them. The problem with the Seahawks is the running game hasn’t gotten going yet and Lynch hasn’t produced anything since coming to the west coast. Whitehurst is in line for his first start against the Giants which is a tough task for any team, but keep in mind that the Lions 3rd string QB was able to move the ball against them and put up some points as well before the Giants put them away late. On Defense the injury bug hit the Seahawks and Red Bryant a big defensive lineman in charge of shutting down the run is gone for the season. The Seahawks have a terrible pass defense and it will be hard for them to keep up with all the Giants receivers and we also thought they were supposed to be good against the run, but got gashed by the Raiders. It will be interesting to see what the Seahawks do this week.

Giants vs Seahawks Prediction for Week 9 Betting:
Spread Prediction (Top Play): In games over the last three seasons the Giants are 1-0. The Giants are just too good this year for the Seahawks to match up evenly. The Giants are better in every statistical category and that really hurts the Seahawks who are competing to win the NFC West which is still wide open at this point. The Giants are a great defensive team and going up against a new starter is going to give them something to feast on. The only hope for Seattle is if they can force some turnovers and score on defense and special teams which is not out of the question entirely, but to move the ball consistently on this defense will just be too tall of a task just ask the Cowboys.
Game Total Prediction: I think the Giants may be able to score 41 points on their own this week and this has the potential to be the biggest blowout of the week. I think the biggest problem with the Seahawks is we don’t know who they are. We know what we are going to get from the Giants week to week, but the Seahawks are a true mystery. The Seahawks will probably score because I can’t imagine that coming off of a week you only score 3 points and don’t get into the end zone and then follow that up with another no touchdown week. I expect the Seahawks to run the football and try to loosen up the Giants, but I don’t expect it to work. This information and the fact that the only game played between these two teams over the last three seasons was over makes me feel good about this pick.
