The Houston Texans are at home and hope to beat the Giants on Sunday. The Texans may not have Andre Johnson and Jacoby Jones against the Giants on Sunday. Not having Johnson could be a devastating blow for a team that has gotten off to such a great start. On Defense Mario Williams could miss the game and that would be a tough blow to overcome for the Texans especially since their pass rush hasn’t been great this year. The Giants are confident in their pass rush again after registering 10 sacks against the Bears and Ahmad Bradshaw has looked pretty good running the football this season, while the passing game of the Giants has struggled look for them to try to exploit the obvious weakness of the Texans defense and go after those Corners early and often. Game starts at 1:00 PM EST.

The Giants Offense has not looked very good this season, especially Eli Manning he’s not making throws he normally makes and just doesn’t look as confident. This may be the game he gets some of that confidence back. The Texans are dead last against the pass and Eli will try to get the ball to his Receivers early in this game. The Giants have been able to work their running game pretty effectively this season and has helped them stay in some games. On Defense they are going to have to get after Schaub because I think they know what he is capable of if he has time to just sit in the pocket and take his time before he throws the ball. The pass rush was effective last week and you have to believe with the Texans offensive line being less than spectacular they will attempt to blitz Schaub.
Houston has to make an effort to get Arian Foster involved early and often, he is clearly well on his way to becoming a great back in this league and they must feed him the ball to keep the Giants Defense off balance. Schaub is great and will continue to throw the ball because that’s what they do best, but if they can avoid being one dimensional on Offense they will be just fine. If Andre Johnson misses this game it will be a huge loss for them, but that just means other Receivers will have to step up for them. On Defense they can expect Eli to come after them, so they are going to have to pressure Manning to try and force some turnovers.

Giants vs Texans Prediction for Week 5 Betting:
Game Total Prediction (Top Play): The over is 4-1-1 in the last 6 games the Texans have played. These are two of the better Offenses in the league and a lot of points should be scored here. Both teams have great running games and passing games. The Giants are coming off of a lackluster offensive performance and I’m sure they want nothing more than to put some points on the board early and let their defense play with the lead. The Texans understand this will be a shootout and the last team to have the ball will probably win this one. The Texans Defense has been unable to stop anybody and that won’t change during this game, Arian Foster should command a heavy workload in this one and that should leave the Texans and the rest of their Offense to go to work. Both teams will score a ton, this should be a very exciting game.
Spread Prediction: This is a game that can truly go either way. Both teams are very good teams, obviously the Giants haven’t been performing as well as they should be given the talent they have on their roster, but they usually play good teams pretty hard and the Texans are a very good team. The Texans have been playing very well as of late even though their defense can’t stop anybody, they’ve been able to win most of their games by playing tremendously on the offensive side of the ball. The Giants are 10-4-1 ATS in the last 14 games as a road underdog so you have to like the chances that they cover here. In a game the Giants need so that they can get back to .500 and a game the Texans would love to have to further separate from the Colts in the AFC South, I think the Giants realize this would be a huge win for them, it won’t be easy, but will be a great game.
