New York Giants vs Chicago Bears NFL Pick – Week 17

The NFL is set up with another great slate of action throughout Week 17. Fifteen games are up on the board throughout Sunday. One of these matchups will be between the New York Giants and the Chicago Bears. These two teams have struggled throughout this season, but will look for a big win in this one. This game will kick off at around 1:00 PM Eastern time.

New York has earned a record of 4-11 so far this season, which has them sitting in last place of the NFC East. The Giants have lost four games in a row and five of their last six. New York is coming off a blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Giants will look to bounce back with a win as they come into this one on the road.

The Bears have put up a record of 5-10 to open up the season, which has them in third place of the NFC North. Chicago won their last game, but have lost eight of their last ten. The Bears have struggled heavily after a strong start to the season. Chicago will look to come out strong at home as they try to build up a winning streak to end the season.

These two teams have fallen out of the playoff picture, but will still look to earn a big win in Week 17. Chicago is coming off a last second win against the Seattle Seahawks, but have struggled their last stretch of games. The Giants are on a long losing streak entering Sunday’s tilt. If either team can come out fast in this one, it could be enough for the win.

Giants vs. Bears NFL Game Preview

The last time these two teams met up on Week 2 in the 2020 season. Mitchell Trubisky had two passing touchdowns as the Bears jumped out to a 17-0 lead by halftime. Dion Lewis had a rushing touchdown and Graham Gano kicked two field goals as New York tried to comeback. Chicago ended up holding on for a 17-13 win at home.

The Giants and Bears have met up 61 times throughout their histories. Chicago leads the all-time series with a record of 35-24-2 against New York. The Bears have won the last two meetings and three of the last five. The Giants will look to earn their first win since the 2018 season in this one though. Both teams will look to come out quickly in this one.

These two teams have different looks from the last time they met up. Daniel Jones started under center for New York in the last meeting between these two. Jones is out for the season, which means Mike Glennon and Jake Fromm will share snaps. Chicago will go with either Andy Dalton or Justin Fields, who both returned to practice this week.

Opening Odds and Line Movement

The spread for this game opened up at -2 in favor of the Bears. The line has moved to -6 for Chicago after the Bears earned the win last week on the two point conversion.

The over/ under for Sunday’s tilt started at 42 points. The total has dropped down to 36 ½ points for this game, which makes some sense. Both offenses have struggled to get going this season and could have another rough meeting in this one.

The spread for this game seems a bit high for two teams that have struggled a bit on the season. The Bears are coming off a win, but they have struggled throughout the season. New York will look to bounce back as they try to avoid another loss in this one.

Free Bet and Game Prediction: New York Giants +6 (-120)

These two teams have struggled throughout this season, but will look for a big win in this matchup. New York has struggled a bit more in their recent stretch of games, but will have a good chance to earn a win against the Bears in this one. Both teams are beat up late in the season. Chicago is also coming off a win in their last meeting, but I think they will drop this one.

I expect Mike Glennon and Jake Fromm to split snaps for New York. Glennon has passed for 766 yards, four touchdowns and eight interceptions. Fromm has thrown for 107 yards and an interception. If Justin Fields is healthy and ready to go, I expect him to start for Chicago. Fields has thrown for 1870 yards, seven touchdowns and ten interceptions. He has rushed for 420 yards and two touchdowns.

These two teams will look for their quarterbacks to step up in this one after some rough starts earlier in the season. Glennon and Fromm will need to pick up their play after going a combined 0-4 on the season. I think New York’s defense can keep them in it though. With a six point spread in this matchup, I really like the Giants with the points.
