It is always special when the Giants take on the Cowboys, and surely New York will enter this game with some bitter tastes in their mouths after yet another disappointing season. It’s always tough to see a hated rival succeed in Dallas, while the Giants have still struggled. They’ll be entering the final week of the regular season with some retribution on their minds.
Read on below for a full Week 17 breakdown for the Giants vs. Cowboys matchup. Analyzing motivation and whether or not teams will be resting players will be key considerations in our handicapping. Enjoy the Giants vs. Cowboys, folks!

Giants vs. Cowboys Pick:
Assessing motivational factors will be huge in this game. Dallas rebounded mid-way through this season and have locked themselves into a playoff spot. Nothing they do in Week 17 can change where they finish, so this is basically a glorified pre-season game for coach Jason Garrett’s side.
It does seem like Dallas will be resting their starters. Perhaps they will play them for just a bit and then pull them after the first quarter. As a result of this, look for the starters of the G-Men to not back down and ensure they get a convincing victory going against the backups of the Cowboys. New York has also played quite well since their bye week and are definitely trending in the right direction for the 2019 campaign. They will surely be eager to keep that momentum going.
Dallas has done a nice job of resurrecting their season, though they are still much worse than their record indicates. Right now the Giants’ starters are actually probably better. They are running the ball well with Saquon Barkley and should really have an advantage in moving the football. Even Eli Manning has been a lot better of late – so much so that the Giants are open to bringing him back in 2019.
Expect New York to end their season on a positive note on home soil against their rivals in Dallas. I don’t anticipate Dallas being content to play their starters all that much, and as a result look for the Giants to capitalize on this and win this matchup comfortably.
PICK = Giants -6 (-110)
