Indianapolis Colts vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Pick – NFL Week 15

A massive all-AFC clash will unfold during the early slate of Week 15 NFL action between two of the conference’s best – the Steelers and Colts.

Both teams still have visions of winning their division and certainly will prioritize finding their groove once again as both Pittsburgh and Indy have entered a bit of a lull within their performance. This Week 15 contest will be vital into both squads rounding into form before the playoffs.

The Steelers are coming off yet another embarrassing loss to the Bengals on Monday Night Football, and they seem to have really lost their way. They’ve talked a big game in the lead-up to their match-up vs. the Colts, but a team with this talent should be performing better.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Indianapolis Colts Pick:

Let’s not forget the Steelers were 11-0 not too long ago, before a shocking loss to the Washington Football Team has seemed to derail their season. They were then embarrassed by the Bills on Sunday Night Football, and that continued last week vs. the lowly Bengals.

Their once powerful offense has seemed to struggle to move the ball in recent weeks, something that has to be puzzling given all of the raw talent on this roster.

One thing that should help Pittsburgh is added protection and injury help for their offensive line. This will undoubtedly give Roethlisberer more time and space to operate from within the pocket, and hit his quartet of talented pass-catchers downfield.

On the other side of the ball, Pittsburgh also seems to be getting back key defensive personnel. Vince Williams will be back within the linebacking corps for the Steelers, and this should greatly help Pittsburgh stuff the Colts’ running attack. His presence should really go a long way at stifling rookie RB Jonathan Taylor.

Where the Steelers could still struggle is within their own secondary. Pittsburgh has been giving up all kinds of explosive plays of late due to their beat-up secondary, though that’s likely not going to occur here in Week 15. Philip Rivers will struggle with the pressure Pittsburgh can offer, and he typically doesn’t air it out deep, as his arm strength has really faded in recent seasons.

This is a significant overreaction to Pittsburgh looking dreadful in recent weeks, combining that with some losses to awful teams. They’re better than they’ve shown of late, and with renewed focus at practice lately, Pittsburgh will look to make a statement in a matchup against a talented AFC rival. The Colts’ offensive line is worn down and injured, and without solid protection – Rivers is going to struggle against the Steelers’ defensive line. Expect Pittsburgh to return to their winning ways on Sunday.
