Jets Broncos Spread Line and Predictions NFL Week 6

The Jets are now considered one of the best teams in the league and will look to continue their winning streak against the Broncos at Mile High. The Jets will be facing a pass happy Offense with Kyle Orton throwing the football a lot this season and since the running game hasn’t done anything for them don’t look for them to deviate from their game plan in this one, especially with Revis likely to sit this one out with his hamstring still giving him problems. As for the Jets they boast one of the league’s best defensive units and look to contain this passing attack. With Revis out, Cromartie is most likely to line up against the opposing team’s number one receiver and with the Broncos not really having an elite receiver on their team I can’t see the Jets sweating this matchup too much, but games are played on the field and not on paper. Game Starts at 4:05 PM EST.

The Jets have been preaching Super Bowl all year long and through the first 5 weeks of the season it doesn’t look like they were too far off. They are playing great football and have been surprisingly good on the Offensive side off the ball. Many believed L.T was done and he clearly isn’t, many thought Mark Sanchez isn’t ready to lead a team and he clearly is, and the offensive line was supposed to take a step back yet have played well despite cutting Guard Alan Faneca. The Jets came out with something to prove and they are proving it. We all knew how good they were on Defense and even without Revis healthy have managed to stop other teams. I think they look at the Broncos and don’t see any stars and sometimes those are the toughest games to play. They will probably line up to stop the pass and I couldn’t blame them. This game could get out of hand early if the Jets can shut down the passing game.

Denver has to be a little worried about this game, they haven’t gotten anything established in the running game and are the most one dimensional team in the league, that simply isn’t going to work against the Jets Defense and the Broncos will have to try to keep them off balance somehow. On Defense Champ Bailey is still one of the best Cornerbacks in the league and I would be shocked to see Mark Sanchez even eye that side of the field and since the Broncos are 25th in the league against the run I don’t see a reason why the Jets would stay away from running the football. The Broncos can win this game, but it won’t be easy, they are going to have to try and establish a ground game and complete passes when the Jets decide to blitz. On Defense a commitment must be made to let Sanchez beat you and not the running game. If they can out physical the Jets which is no easy task they might pull the upset.

Jets vs Bills Prediction for Week 6 Betting:

Spread Prediction (Top Play): New York is the favorite for a reason and that’s cause they are a great football team. Denver is 1-0 ATS in the last three seasons against the Jets, but this isn’t the same Jets team, this is a new and improved Jets team that is capable of scoring and shutting opponents out. While I do believe the game will be more competitive than most are expecting, there are many reasons to like the Jets here. The saying is Defense wins games and not only do the Jets have a Defense, but they have an Offense to go with it. I know the Broncos won’t be scared to go five wide if they feel they need to and if the Jets do blitz there will be holes, but in order to win Orton is going to have to find those holes and I don’t know if he can.

Top Play Prediction: Jets -3

Game Total Prediction: Over the last 3 seasons the only game they have played was on the Over. Both teams can score points and since the Broncos were able to put up 17 points against the Ravens shows that they aren’t hopeless when it comes to scoring. As for the Jets they have allowed Sanchez more freedom in the passing game and the running game has been just as successful. The Jets will be able to put up points on a pretty weak Broncos Defense and that should put Orton in passing situations all game in an effort to play catch up with the Jets. Points will be at a premium, but I do believe that the Broncos will score enough to keep the game competitive, but the Jets will be moving the ball effectively throughout this game making it difficult for the Jets to keep up.

Prediction: Over 41.5 points.
